I had never heard a single song from this cd when i bought it and i had never heard of the band either. I had seen people with shirts that said bowling for soup on them at concerts but i didnt know what the hell it meant at the time. But when i saw a title like Drunk Enough To Dance....i wanted to give it a chance. Pathetic i know. But it turned out to probably be my favorite cd in my collection of around 150. That tops great cds from bands like, brand new, new found glory, blink 182, good charlotte, green day, goldfinger, yellowcard, eve 6, etc. Greatest Day is a bonus track but is probably the best song on the entire cd so dont stop one you are on the bonus tracks. And dont miss the last song (28) which comes in after about 8 songs of silence which takes maybe thiry seconds. It is an acoustic electric mixed song and is amazing. The best songs on the cd come early though. The girl on the bad guys want is very catchy and you have probably already heard it if you are reading this wanting to buy the cd. If you like other pop punk bands, you will love this one.Free Music Review: Fun, funny as heck, great live.

They had great stage presence in Chicago at the House of Blues. If you are a hard old school punk, fast and hard kind of person this in not for you. The only problem I have with this album is it's production values. To darn prety. I would like to hear a live recording or something with less pop production to the recording. After I got around that it is a fun album. All the songs grow on you. Surf In Colarado, Life After Lisa, Running From Your Dad, and my fave Out The Window all grabed my ear on the first listen but after a full listen through I can't say that I dislike any of the songs on the album. After the release A Hangover You Deserve in September they should make a live recording. Less clean pop production that way and more unleashed energy. Only question would be do you leave in the bear breaks, remove them tottaly or edit them down?Free Music Review: Pretty Good!

Before I saw the music video for "Girl All The Bad Guys Want" the only Bowling For Soup song I liked was "Suckerpunch". Than again I had just heard all there bad stuff. When I first bought this cd I actually hated. I bought it with a Mest CD and I tought they where the most boring displays of punk ever. I was wondering how anyone could like these pop punkers. I actually said even Blink 182 is better. However, I liked to play the cd cause I tought it sucked and I tought that was fun to make fun of. After listening to it three more times I was singing every word. The biggest shock though was seeing them at the warped tour and seeing how good the lead guitar player was. This cd is now one of my favorites cause the lryics are funny and the songs catchy as ever.Free Music Review: BOWLED OVER!!!

How did I hear of these guys? Believe it or not, I saw them at the very end of "Regis and Kelly" playing "Girl All the Bad Guys Want" and was completely blown away! Four guys, obviously having fun and not taking themselves too seriously with catchy hooks and lyrics I guarantee will make any ex-high school misfit wax nostalgic (and I mean that in a good way!)! Yeah, it's very much punk-pop but dammit, the attitude (or lack thereof) and enthusiasm are way above some of the bands selling records today. Girl All the Bad Guys Want, Life After Lisa, Emily, Out the Window....nary a bad song in the bunch! You'll like some better than others, but taking the album as a whole it's a VERY solid effort! To start off the reveiw i would like to say that bowling for soup are pobably the best rock band out. People who like Bowling for Soup normally dont buy singles they buy the album so they dont do very well in the charts. My favourate song on the album is world falling apart or self centred. i rated this album 5 stars because they put a lot of time and dedication into the makeing of the album un like those pocksey pop singers. so if you like rock music and you are looking for a good album i personally promote this album. i hope this has tought you a lot about reveiws on bowling for soup.
