Free Music Notes for Box Car RacerFree Music Review: Great, great album! Hit: 5 Stars
With Box Car Racer, Travis and Tom have managed to create an album that will appeal to both hardcore Blink 182 fans as well as those who feel that Blink is too immature or not punk enough. I have to disagree with anyone who says that this album is exactly like Blink, or nothing like Blink. The truth lies in the middle. This album could be seen as the darker side of the recent pop/punk explosion. Although it has been said before, it deserves repeating: Box Car Racer combines the melodic pop/punk sensibilities of Blink 182 with the musical diversity and adventurousness of the Minutemen and the lyrical depth and purpose of Fugazi. This is an incredible album. The 13 songs kick off with "I Feel So," a dark-yet-radio-friendly punk-pop hit. With each song, the album's music grows more diverse yet maintains a dark tone that will surprise (and most likely please) most fans of Blink. Amongst many others, "Tiny Voices" stands out as an especially amazing song. I implore all who enjoy intelligent, hard-rocking music to give this album a try. It's a true gem.
Free Music Review: AWESOME CD! Hit: 5 Stars
I listen to this CD daily! Here are the song ratings :1) I Feel So - 5/5 Really hard hitting guitar from being slow to fast! 2) All Systems Go - 5/5 Same as above 3) Watch the World - 5/5 Very slow song, but very smooth. The only thing that REALLY saves this song from sounding bad is Tom's voice. 4) Tiny Voices - 5/5 Same as numbers 1 & 2. 5) Cat Like Thief - 5/5 Upbeat song with cool vocals. 6) And I - 4/5 Great song! Smooth slower song than 1&2, but stronger than 3. 7) Letters to God - 4/5 Starts off very slow and kicks off very hard. Great song! 8) My First Punk Song - 1/5 Not a very good song and very short as well. 9) Sorrow - 4/5 Slow song all through, but still good. 10) There Is - 5/5 Great slow song with awesome drum playing from Travis. 11) The End With You - 5/5 Very inspiring song! Nice upbeat hard song. 12) Elevator - 4/5 Simple upbeat song with Mark and Tom doing vocals. 13) Instrumental - 3/5 Good song, but could have been longer.

Free Music Review: Box Car Racer-A new Blink? Hit: 5 Stars
When I first heard about the new band, Box Car Racer, including 2 of my favorite artists around...Travis and Tom of Blink 182, I was a little skeptical. Could they really match, or better yet, overcome Blink 182's success? My question was answered when I bought the cd, and sat down and listened to it. The vocals are great-Tom is a fresh sound in today's world of pop/punk...most singers sound somewhat alike. The guitar and drums are great...and the lyrics are astounding. Each song tells a distinct story or trys to send out a specific message. The song, "I Feel So" and the song, "Letters to God" are perfect examples of Tom's more straight-out take on life. Although this album seems to have a more serious note, there is a trace of humor left from Tom's Blink 182 days. For example, the song, "My First Punk Song" describes exactly what it states, in a hilarious way. All in all, I feel like this album is a fantastic purchase, for any blink 182 fan, or anybody who is ready for a fresh sound! :D
