Free Music Review: Tom DeLonge expands his creativity
Hit: 5 Stars

Blink 182 is my favorite band. When Boxcar Racer came out, I wasn't sure what to expect. It's different, and it's good.
Tom DeLonge's explosive energy is harnessed into this album with the help of Travis Barker and the guest voice of Mark Hoppas. The content is that of sweet melodic acoustic and electric guitar riffs holding on to the punk rock anchor to give it a raw edge. Travis Barker's ingenious drumming balances Tom's creativity. Barker is truely a creative genious with each drum riff delivering a different style of tone to each song. Tom delivers genuine, meaningful lyrics that slightly strays from some of the 'Blink 182' goofiness that he's known for. Mark Hoppas tops it off with his guest vocal appearance on 'Elevator', my favorit song on the album.
The album could be described as a "grown-up Blink 182". However, it deserves far more credit. An excellent album and a refreshing display of creativity from Tom DeLonge.

Free Music Review: Awesome CD
Hit: 5 Stars

This is a great CD. I was a little skeptical before I bought it, but I am highly impressed. Since two members of Box Car Racer are also a part of Blink-182, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. It is not just like Blink-182, and that is a good thing. (Yes I like Blink-182, but if this is a different band it should sound different.) A lot of the songs remind me of song #14 on "Take Off Your Pants." Not that they are a repeat of that, but they have the same tone.

The only disappointing song on this CD is "My First Punk Song." Although it kind of grows on you. I have been listening to this CD over and over because it is so damn good. My only other complaint is the CD jacket. The lyrics are all smashed together and hurt my eyes to look at. And there is NO band info or pictures. But the music is what is important to me so it really doesn't matter that much. I hope Box Car Racer sticks around to put out more albums - they rock!

Free Music Review: WHAT THE **** BEST ALBUM EVER
Hit: 5 Stars

Alright i have a couple things to say... first off blink was never gonna break up because of this album... second of all this should not be compared to blink at all.. I hate when people say it's just blink with diffrents sound... In the beggining box car was only suppose to be tom.. no drums or anything jus him and like his new creation... but a last minute desision had him lookin for a drummer who could record the tracks quickly and he knew travis could do the job.... Tom even recorded the bass himself... The whole time mark was off doin other stuff... and I think box car racer is the best depression album... if your sad you put this on and just think about life and stuff... by no way are the lyrics shallow.... From beggining to end of album is pretty much perfection... except one part that throws me off is in watch the world anyone else notice the one guitar near the end is off... like terribly off.... but ya this is one of the best albums ever...

Free Music Review: BOX CAR RACER ROX
Hit: 5 Stars

I Feel So: The first single. Awesome! It starts with a great intro. 9/10

All Systems Go: Probably the next hit. Great guitar. 8/10

Watch The World: The Best Song On The CD. Need I say more? No. 10/10

Tiny Voices: Okay. Not great material though. 6/10

Cat Like Thief: Nice song. Features Jordan of New Found Glory (if you don't understand the MCA Records Label go sit in the corner). 8/10

And I: Good. Not like the first 3 songs though. 7/10

Letters To God: Who thought Tom could come out with such a song. So deep. Yet, not what I look for. 8/10

My First Punk Song: Great song. Too short to be a hit though (only 1:00). 9/10

Sorrow: Decent song. This song could really be Boxcar Racer's softer side. 6/10

There Is: Okay. But not great. 7/10

The End With You: Just another song. But still awesome. 6/10

Elevator: Great song. Has Mark from blink-182 (you should know by now). 9/10

Instrumental: Good (for an instrumental song that is). 7/10
