Free Music Review: So disappointed...

Its not the Boyz fault really. They have beautiful voices, harmonies, and ideas. They just get bad advice. This album is not good. The songs are timeless and the thought of them doing some of my favorite motown jams was a no brainer buy. Then i listened to it and immediately thought.....I cant believe this is as bad as it is. Its not their fault at all, they still bring the vocals as always, sadly minus the bass. Its the production by Yo Dawg Randy Jackson that makes this cd near blasphemous towards the little house from Detroit. The production sounds extremely cheesy and dated. This would have been fine if they dounded dated as in when Motown was popular but it sounds like an 80's version of Motown. Just cheesy and not what motown was about back in its heyday. The accapella songs are very nice and a few choice cuts on here like Got to Be There and Mercy Mercy Me hit some of the right notes, but overall this CD sounds like a soccer moms version of Motown. Might as well get Michael Mcdonald instead of this. Since he at least did this already.
