It's terrific! I sat on the train coming home from work where I'd had it delivered, just reading the lyrics from the sleeve, and was already approving before I'd so much as heard a complete song. He is a fine writer, and has chosen his collaborators impeccably, and his voice and musicality more than measure up!

I'm a Chicago native with only a four-year formative stint in Nashville as a kid to give me any credentials here. But, excellent is excellent! I know great when I hear it, and this young man is going to be an all-time great! (My Chicago friends agree!)

Still, I spent those years (7-11) living in Nashville and have affection for the traditional sounds rather than the fusion favorites currently in vogue. So Brad is talking straight to me. I hope this review helps you to appreciate him. There are so many standout cuts on this collection, I'd be hard pressed to choose, but let's see. "Don't Breathe" is one that the lyrics alone made me love, with its funny-tragic take on how to deal with rejection when your lover is going all new-age on you. "Holding On To You" touched me to tears (as a lady who lived a similar night). The songs that have been previously identified here as wonderful stand up to that verdict in my eyes too.

So I guess the bottom line is, this is a gifted artist who can give anyone who wants to hear it a beautiful experience. I am a wholehearted Brad Paisley fan!
