What a pleasant suprise this was! I really enjoyed the new tracks on "Power to the People" and everything on "Hollyweird" except the CC tracks but this album is something different, and very different from "Letter from Death Row", it's a unique blend of modern pop/rock/punk with a healthy splash of 80's glam rock. "Bitter Sweet" could've been a huge hit if one of these new wave wanker pop bands recorded it, "Loaded Gun" is straight outta the 80's, perfect blend of new and old. Buy this album, it's a great party disk, a real "good time" album. Best Poison related cd since "Flesh and Blood".Free Music Review: This is one of the Best CD's I have ever bought!

Well to all the people that I have read their reviews that are negative. All I can say is, what are you on?? Because I purchased this CD and I find it to be great! The track "Raine" is amazing and so is "One More Day". To make an ignorant comment such as "Bret cant write a song to save his life" proves how ignorant and un-tasteful your taste in music is. I have to say that Bret's Songs of Life album is impressive. And if you dont like it, you must be retarded. By the way did I read that "CC was the band in Poison" . LOL Oh man is that so un true. Bret is the man, always will be , and he is the Voice of Poison!Free Music Review: Finally!

Awesome Record, I'm real glad to see that someone was willing to take a chance and write some real heart felt melodic songs for a change. Bret has definatly captured the spirit that has made him a success throughout the years as well as appealing to more than one genre here. This record has something for everybody. With punk pop anthems like Menace to Society and Bittersweet to the obvious radio hit Raine and 9-11 tear jerker One More Day I dont see anyone being disapointed with this record. Great songs!I have been a Poison fan for 15 years and have always loved Bret michaels especially so i was thrilled to get this cd.one of the songs "Raine" is a heartfelt song about his daughter.great song.if you love poison this is a must get.all the songs are awesome and have catchy lyrics.i was a little hesitant because it's always been poison as a group but i was definitly impressed and would surely recommend this cd.you will not be dissapointed.and if you really like his cd then you can catch him on his solo tour and hear it live!!!!Free Music Review: Just Awesome!

Bret Michaels is just as great! He rocked pretty cool. His metallic songs sounded like modern-day alternative (menace to society, bittersweet) and a bit grunge where he also looked like Kurt Cobain in the "Raine" video. However his ballads (one more day, forgiveness, stay with me, raine) sounded like Poison in their good old days where songs alike were timeless! Songs were very well written, performed and lyrics pertains to reality... real songs of life! Recommended for fans of metal, alternative and especially Poison fans! A must-have!
