Free Music Notes for Bridget Jones's Diary

Free Music Review: I know the mystery song!
Hit: 4 Stars

I did some "research" and the song playing while Bridget goes through the market is "Woman Trouble" by Artful Dodger. It can be found on their album "It's All About The Stragglers". They are dance music artists out of the U.K. Why it isn't on the soundtrack is beyond me. I would've liked that better than some of the other songs. Loved Shelby Lynne's "Killin' Kind" and "Dreamsome" and Gabrielle's "Out Of Reach" and the incomparable Robbie Williams! Wish the Van Morrison version of "Someone Like You" would've been in..other version is just okay. Otherwise a wonderful CD! Always makes me remember scenes from the movie..love it!

Free Music Review: Packs a few punches
Hit: 4 Stars

This compilation perfectly complements ths essence of the movie: sassy, playful, girly, yet slightly less sophisticated than the original. The best songs are Shelby Lynne's punchy "Killin' Kind" and the bubble bath-like "Dreamsome". A few other notable songs that fit the movie are Dina Carroll's diva interpretation of "Someone Like You" and Diana Ross & Marvin Gaye's "Stop, Look, Listen (to your heart)." Despite a few sophomoric attempts from Robbie Williams and Geri Halliwell, this record is worthwhile for true Bridget fans.

Free Music Review: geri halliwell shines yet again
Hit: 4 Stars

This soundtrack is probably one of the best ones that i have heard. The film was great and this really reflects that. Some of the songs seem to be a bit pointless-but most are great and take you back to the fantasticly funny film moments that the songs went with. The best track by far is superstar Geri Halliwell's cover of 'It's Raining Men' which is far better than all the other songs, although Aretha Franklins 'Respect' is a classic that can never be tired of. Gabrielles song is lifeless and boring, so skip over that one, but overall it's a good buy!

Free Music Review: A Great Soundtrack!

I bought this soundtrack shortly after seeing the movie. It lived up to all my expectations and more. I love it and listen to it frequently.

Free Music Review: Mystery song
Hit: 4 Stars

Love this soundtrack. I listen to it all the time.
But can anyone tell me what song is played after she snags the exclusive interview with Kaffir? She is going grocery shopping to make a birthday dinner for herself and her friends. It almost sounds like Jamiroquai or something. I think the line says "I feel surrounded, confounded, emotionally dumbfounded." Drives me crazy everytime I watch the movie. Some of the songs listed on the credits are hard to find so I have not been able to find a sample of them all.
