Free Music Notes for Brit Box: UK Indie Shoegaze & Brit Pop Gems

Free Music Review: Rhino Rocks
Hit: 5 Stars

Rhino always has a way of putting together box sets that blow you away with hidden gems.
This is no exception.
Whoever heard of 75% of this stuff with dumb names...but the music rocks don't it?
Every next song that came on rocked better that the next and this thing flowed real nice.
For you idiots that said there was alot of stuff missing, then it's not missing because you remembered it and most likely have a "best of" anyways ie: Siouxsie & The Banshees who weren't anywhere to be found on this.
As if none of us doen't already own Once Upon A Time & Twice Upon A Time for the cheap price of $7 each?
Get Real
THIS IS COOL!

Cheers

Free Music Review: Great for anglophiles/indie-shoegazers-brit pop lovers!!
Hit: 5 Stars

I bought this from Amazon, and it came quickly. The price was lower,tho... maybe I got a sale? anywho...I am an anglophile and I enjoy indie, shoegazer, and britpop music. There is a booklet with lots of pics and info on the songs, etc...and the box comes with these little battery powered lights that blink on the Brit Box sign! I was totally into it. Pics of kitschy Brit stuff, like baked beans, and tea bags, and the like. The music is great. 4 discs with around 80 tracks. i had no probs with playing any tracks, either. i have no regrets. look, you have the track listing above, so you know what songs are included, and the booklet is extensive...i think it is a good deal all around.

Free Music Review: Brit Pop with a bite
Hit: 5 Stars

In the United State when one thinks of "Brit Pop", the Sixties british invasion comes to mind. However, in the mid-eighties up until the late ninties- Brit Pop scrapped together punk, synth, and romantic new wave rock with a twist of sixties psychedelic rock to make the music danceable. In the U.S. groups like Ned's Atomic Dustbin, and Cornershop had songs that were popular with college music stations. In a sense you might say that this collection is a "part II" to Rhino's "Left of the Dial." Some of this music still exists today, except it is under the "Nu Rave" name.

Free Music Review: The Brit Box- makes a great gift for the New Wave Enthusiast!
Hit: 5 Stars

My husband had added The Brit Box to his Amazon wish list. I ordered it for him, obtaining free shipping. Once it arrived, I checked out the lighted feature and it was very cool. I wrapped it and awaited Christmas evening. When he opened it, he was very excited to have several of the rare songs on CD. Then I flipped the switch for the light-up feature, an added bonus. We have never seen anything like it. This was a great and successful gift at a really good price. Thank you!

Free Music Review: Excellent collection of a bigone era
Hit: 5 Stars

This is an excellent, and extensive compilation of 90's music. If I had to pick a compilation to listen to on a deserted tropical island, it would be this one. There's a wide variety of bands and a lot of music here. This was great music in the 90's when it was played on alternative radio. It's just as good now.
