Free Music Notes for BlackoutFree Music Review: A Good Comeback Hit: 5 Stars
There is a lot of negativity surrounding Britney, and I find it all very sad. The paparazzi is going to make her look bad in every way they can. Of course she ran the red light everyone is freaking out about, the paparazzi was all over her!
Seriously, give the girl a break.
So aside from her drama, "Blackout," is actually a very good album. It's got the good beats, fun choruses and of course, the sexy voices added by Ms. Spears.
1.) Gimme More (*****)- So if you haven't heard this song, you've been living in a hole somewhere. I actually like it. Whereas it does lack in the lyrics, it's still a lot of fun.
2.) Piece of Me (*****)- One of the best here. I love how the lyrics attack the paparazzi. It's fun and it's catchy.
3.) Radar (*****)- Wasn't a favorite at first, but it slowly but surely grew on me. Classic Britney fun.
4.) Break the Ice (*****)- Definitely has to be a single. Just fantastic.
5.) Heaven On Earth (*****)- I don't see how people can say this is the worst song on the album. I disagree completely. I think it's the best, actually. For some reason, it reminds me of the old Britney. She sounds like she's smiling when singing it.
6.) Get Naked (I Got A Plan) (***)- I hate Danja's part in this song. It's not the best song here. There are too many moments where Britney just seems to disappear out of the song.
7.) Freakshow (****)- It's slowly growing on me. Britney did contribute to this song, which is always good.
8.) Toy Soldier (*****)- Love it! It's been one of my favorites since I heard the leak!
9.) Hot As Ice (****)- I just have a few issues, not a terrible song. But it can get annoying.
10.) Ooh Ooh Baby (*****)- Now this is the song I play over and over again. It's perfect for Britney. I love every second of it.
11.) Perfect Lover (****)- Not bad, but also not my favorite.
12.) Why Should I Be Sad (***)- Just not catchy nor memorable at all.
Now, I am not a teeny bopper wannabe who is a Britney fanatic. I used to be, but I'm not anymore. I gave this CD a chance and I'm very glad I did.
Free Music Review: Focus People Hit: 5 Stars
I'm one of the 5 people that rate this girl by her music not what the paparazzi makes her out to be. 95% of the things said about her is false and its completely ignorant. I saw a video of when they were filming her ordering food from the drive-thru. Who in this world goes that far to care what she orders? Thats sick. People need to leave her alone.
This album is crazy. I like her I don't give a F*ck, in your face attitude and style. The beats are sick.
Gimme More- 1st single, this song has been addicting since day one. Danja is definetly the next Timbaland. And Timbaland is a genius. It's too bad they didn't release the actual video.
Piece of Me- 2nd single, this song sums up her life that is right now. Its sad that she has to put up with all this scrutiny.
Radar- At first I wuz like hell no but I like this song now. Bloodshy & Avant are a good team.
Break The Ice- This is my 3rd favorite after Gimme More & Piece of Me. This should definetly be a single. Danja is gonna be huge.
Heaven On Earth- This is 1 of 2 outcasts of the album. It sounds very different. 80's vibe.
Get Naked- Danjas background vocals are crazy on this. The hook is very different from whats out there nowadays.
Freakshow- My 4th favorite.
Toy Soldier- Had to get used to it but I like it now.
Hot As Ice- I heard this song like april this year and i wuz hoping it wuz not the first single. Its a good album track but should not be a single.
Ooh Ooh Baby- Touch her and she comes alive. Lots of sexual energy. I like it haha.
Perfect Lover- Not the best but still good.
Why Should I Be Sad- This is the other outcast. This could have stayed off the album and they coulda made Get Back a album track instead of a bonus track. The Neptunes days are over. Their style has changed to an unpleasurable sound. This is the worst song of her career. I like the lyrics though.
This album is fire. At the end of the day Britney still can make a very good album even while under so much pressure. Rating: 97/100
Free Music Review: A Stellar Release From Britney Spears Hit: 5 Stars
It's been 4 years since pop tabloid sensation Britney Spears has released a solo CD. "Blackout" marks Britney's return to the pop music world. The first single released from "Blackout," was the club friendly track "Gimme More." Radio loves the single and it's proof that Britney is definitely back in the music industry. "Blackout" is a mix of electronica, R&B and club tracks. On the song, "Piece of Me," Britney declares that she has been the American Dream since she was 17. The song could easily be a radio single as Britney fights back at the tabloids.
"Break The Ice," is a melodic club friendly song that will strike a chord with Britney's audience. Fans of her third album, "In The Zone," will appreciate this song about meeting a new love interest. "Heaven On Earth," is an electronica inspired fast paced song.
Britney, who is now 25 years old, definitely shows off her adult side on "Blackout." Song's on the songs "Get Naked," and "Freakshow."
The songs on "Blackout," have powerful tracks and Britney's vocals are very melodic and sometimes hypnotic. People who thought Britney might come back with a sad CD because she just went through a divorce are all wrong.
Britney addresses her personal life on the Neptune's produced song "Why Should I Be Sad." Britney is a survivor and isn't letting her personal life or the tabloid drama that follows her from stopping anything.
Britney brought her "A" game to "Blackout." The upbeat tracks will keep people on the dance floor for hours and are sure to be popular with fans both old and new. When listening to "Blackout," you can hear that Britney has been inspired by artists such as Madonna, and Pet Shop Boys.
Production-wise Britney can't lose on "Blackout" as she works with some of the top music producers in the industry. "Blackout" features production from super-hot producer Danja, who has produced for Justin Timberlake, Bloodshy and Avant, and The Neptunes.
Stand out tracks on Blackout include the first single "Gimme More," "Break The Ice," "Piece of Me," "Heaven on Earth," and "Why Should I Be Sad."
Free Music Review: LEAVE BRITNEY 5 Stars
Britney is as Britney does.
1. Gimmee More: 4/5 The hit everyone is talking about. It's a kool song but a bit simple. A basic Britney jam that leaves more 2 the imagination. It's Britney Beotch.
2. Piece of Me: 4/5 A Britney documentary that defines her current life. She's livin' a Pop Life, and we all know, everybody needs a thrill, that's why we all live thru her.
3. Radar: 4/5 An electronic mess. Being messy never felt so good. On my Radar? Ur on my Radar gurrl.
4. Break Tha Ice: 4/5 A catchy dance housy groove. Play it at a club and u know people will groove on tha dancefoor.
5. Heaven On Earth: 4/5 the electroclash 80's type alternative track. Britney does pink neon lights and hair gel. (hairspray optional).
6. Get Naked (I Got A Plan): 5/5 Britney flips the script with a sexy dance groove that makes u wanna get naked and dirty dance.
7. Freakshow: 4/5 the song that blends into the woodwork on this cd. It's a dance groove with a kool beat and easy 2 dance. But doesn't compare with the other tracks on the cd.
8. Toy Soldier: 2/5 an annoying repetative track. Don't forget the aspirin while listening to this track. The weakest song on the cd in my oppinion.
9. Hot As Ice: 5/5 M' fave track. This is my all time favourite Britney song ever. It doesn't sound like Britney considering they sped up her voice in the recording. I love how T. I got creative and tweaked Britney's voice and made it sound r and b. It takes Britney to the next level and signifies her artistic and diva capability making her a true star.
10. Ooh Ooh Baby: 4/5 a Gwen Stefani type jam. A catchy radio friendly song, we feel ya Britney!
11. Perfect Lover: 3/5 an imperfect groove that screams out ORDINARY!
12. Why Should I Be Sad: 5/5 another Neptunes production, who knew. Britney jams like it's 1985. The vocals sound very r and b, thank goodness she went in that direction because it works for her.
Free Music Review: Another one, of few... Hit: 5 Stars
Britney Spears has been my favorite musician sense I was in Jr. High when she dropper her first album, "Baby One More Time." I have sense loved every song in not only that first album, but also in "Oops I Did It Again," "Britney," "In The Zone," "B in the Mix: The Remixes," (which I was upset that I couldn't copy onto my iPod because of advanced copyright protection encrypted into the disc) "My Prerogative: Greatest Hits," (which included many remixes to great songs and also comes in DVD which include not only all of the videos for the whole album, but also the non-remixed videos) and now "Blackout."
There is definitely something special about Britney Spears. I have extremely particular taste in music. The single only other artist who I love every song produced by is Marilyn Manson. Britney Spears and Marilyn Manson are the only artists in which I will purchase an album on the day they are released, having not heard anything featured on the album. Other than those two, I only know of about ten other albums (each from a separate artist, to include "And Justice For All" - Metallica; "Issues" - Korn; "The Great Escape" - Gwen Stafani...) that I would care to listen to from front to back, not wanting to miss one second.
This album contains a very important element that I look for in music. I don't listen to music, I experience it. I look for something that has a hint of darkness in the feeling it provides you while you listen, a smoothness in the sound, among other things, and this album definitely has everything I look for. Blackout is an experience in which, now that I have had, I know I wouldn't want to live without; just like the rest of Britney's albums.
The darkness in the bass lines throughout this album is perfectly blended with the sexiness, and a soothing smooth-feeling variety of perfectly paired tones that flow from the talented vocals of Britney Spears.
This album will most likely grow to become my favorite album so far, and I continue, as always, to look forward to any and all albums that will be released by Britney Spears in the future.
