Free Music Notes for CircusFree Music Review: Best Pop Record In a Very Long Time! Hit: 5 Stars
Circus is perhaps one of the strongest pop albums released in recent history. With every song providing catchy melodies, hooks and memorable lyrics, it is one of the most fun and consistent records I've heard in a long time, and definitely Britney Spears' best work to date.
Stand out tracks include "Mannequin" (my personal favorite) which has one of the most unusual chorus sounds heard on a track in recent history, and "Shattered Glass" - reminiscent of some of the finest pop tunes from the 1980's and 1990's. Other uptempo tracks including "If You Seek Amy" and "Kill the Lights" basically load this album up with a string of potential #1 singles, with a pop yet urban sound, perfect for radio, your car or stereo.
Unlike her last album, Circus also includes some pretty ballads including "Out from Under" (truly haunting) and "Unusual You" (a trancey mid-tempo number, produced by Bloodshey & Avant who did Toxic and Piece of Me.
Other tracks including Womanizer (high energy), Lace & Leather (1990's Madonna-esque) and Radar (future-pop) ensure that this album is chok-full of pure pop gold.
Exciting to hear fun and quality pop music from the one and only Britney Spears.
Free Music Review: Ten years later she still got it. She has it! Hit: 5 Stars
In 1998 she awoke every man's inner-creep with her debut, Hit me baby (one more time). Her career has been a true circus since but before we point any fingers, WHAT hasn't been like a circus since the century's turn? Seriously.
Honestly, this is the first Brit Spears album I've ever gotten. I really never was a fan of her music until Circus. Whatever it is, I like it. For whatever it was meant to be it is the right album at the right time. And in spite of the millions of insults and judgments on her that have destroyed celebrities of greater renown, Circus is a big fat ha in the puritan's face. No, she doesn't seriously address the charges and issues people put on her. No there isn't an iron defiance in her harmony. That's the thing though. She has proven a rare talent. Shining in the face of darkness.
This is a wonderful album. It's not inspiring. It's not epic. It is not Cold Play, Nickel Back, U2 or some other gold pocket prophet. Rather, it's just simply good. It is something fresh in a world of old. Eleven years later, Brittany Spears has excelled beyond failures like Madonna or Paula Abdul. Maybe someday not but not now.
Free Music Review: A New Meaning Of "Circus". Hit: 5 Stars
Britney has done it again, but this time she has shown that don't count her out just yet. While her personal life took a turn for the worse she was able to raise with this album. While many fans claim that "Blackout", her last album, was really good. To me, it wasn't the Britney we knew who was focused. Even though "Blackout" is a good album it wasn't her best effort considering the "Circus" that was taking place at the time. Now, Returning with hot singles and videos off her new album "Circus" you can really see that now she is focused and ready to show her fans that this time she has worked hard for her come back. In the album "Cricus" all the songs are everything Britney was known for before it all went down. "Womanizer", "Circus". "If U Seek Amy" are just some of the hot singles and videos off this well produced album. Take a listen in and judge for yourself. I give this album five stars because I have yet seen someone fall so fast yet come back so strong. In the end, if you as an artist don't believe in your work your fans won't. Britney this time knows and believes in her music and now her fans truly see the effort.
Free Music Review: Circus Shines Hit: 5 Stars
The tracks on this album are what music is all about: Diversity, range, maturity, entertainment, fun, with a raw ballad titled 'My Baby' that doesn't get any closer to the human heart than this ballad does.
It's extremely difficult to consider this album a come-back album for Britney Spears given 'Blackout' is a good album with relentless merit that shouldn't have been based solely on one less than stellar performance. Notwithstanding, 'Circus' is her best album to date that appears to appeal to various age groups without bounds; especially to many of us occupying Club40. Besides, when parents you work with tell you they've had to purchase a second album for themselves because their kid(s) have their own favorite tracks they want to repeatedly play, that says much about the quality of 'Circus.' Same holds true within my own household.
Again, the ballad 'My Baby' will deeply touch men and women alike who can and do appreciate the symbolism and reflection Britney embraces as both parent and performer on this incredibly beautiful ballad.
Best...
Free Music Review: 13 SINGLES! ! ! Hit: 5 Stars
Love her or hate her, you have to admit, the B knows how to make a hot track! "Womanizer" is an awersome first single, but it's just a taste of what this album has to offer! "Circus" is a steller track and second single. But it gets better. Some of the highlights on the album are definately the Britney Ballads - "Out from Under" "My Baby" and especially "Unusual You" are really really great and show that she can sing. My favorite track is "Kill the Lights" it's so hot, and actually has unique lyrics that apply to Britney (think Piece of Me only 10000x better).
"If U Seek Amy" is a fun romp that'll give the middleschool kids a new catch phrase, "Mmm Papi" sounds like summer fun by the pool. "Mannequin" is another favorite that has a rockin' beat and more britney-themed lyrics. Honestly I love every track so much, just when I thought "Blur" was going to be my least favorite, it's now grown on me so much that I listen to it non-stop. There's really not a single bad track.
Can't wait to see her in concert!! ! ! !
