Free Music Notes for In The ZoneFree Music Review: Woah...and she used to sing - Hit me baby..??!!! Hit: 5 Stars
What a big difference from the time she came out to now!! She keeps improving all the way and keeps discovering more and more talents in what people call the 'talentless' fake girl. This album is a cool, groovy, hot album with awesome beats and hot tunes. If her voice was better, this would be the perfect album. She's trying to do everything she can. I mean you'd have thought people without a good voice would've given up but no. She's proved that you don't need an extraordinary voice to make good music. And to whoever wants to fight against that, listen to the album a couple of times and then do it. Me against the music - Actually a lot of people think Madonna is unneccessary but imagine the song without her. I'm not a fan of hers or anything but I kinda like the blend of their voices with the classic clubby beat in the background. The lyrics are sort of different and I'd give it a 9.5 out of 10. Boom Boom - Nice matured hip hop song featuring the Ying Yang twins. I don't mind them but the song would be amazing without them. - 9/10 Showdown - I just love the beats of this song!! It's a sexy song and the lyrics are ok and Britney's did pretty well on this song. I doubt it but I hope it's a single - 10/10 Breathe on me - Nice beats and great tune. Her voice is almost like Kylie Minogue in the end. - 9.5/10 Early Morning - Actually I hated this song in the beginning but it's caught on to me and I think Moby did a decent job for the first time in his loser career - 8/10 Toxic - THE BEST SONG ON THE ALBUM!! Everybody loves this song. It's got a 70s beat and so very very catchy. Great job brit! - 11/10 Outrageous - Britney Spears and R. Kelly on one track...I'd never have imagined that would come. The result is a very catchy song. The lyrics don't stand out and my friends laughed at it but I like the lalalalala part and it's a great song - 10/10 Touch of my hand - I love this song! I don't know about the lyrics but the atmosphere of the song, the tune...it just feels great and I LOVE this one - 10.5/10 The hook up - If you told me Britney Spears was going to sing this someday I would so have laughed at your face. At first I did laugh when I listened to the song (especially when she emphasises on her jamiacan accent) but the next time, I liked it and I think it's cool and catchy. - 9.5/10 Shadow - The first ballad and a very nice one too. It doesn't stand out and I'd prefer the bonus tracks of her previous albums as better ballad. The Matrix did a good job. - 10/10 Brave new girl - This is funky and fits nicely in one of her old albums. Some people hate it because of it's poppy feeling but I love it and Britney sounds like Madonna here.lol. - 10/10 Everytime - This is the best ballad I've ever heard! If it's for Justin like people say, I hope it isn't because he doesn't deserve something this beautiful. He's been running around Scotland, insulting Britney! It is accompanied by the harp and piano. Britney's voice is tearful and sweet and the tune is haunting and beautiful. - 15/10 This is the single after Toxic. Me against the music - RRDK mix - This guy is good. I love the Punjabi effect to the song. It makes it so catchy and dancy and my friends (who are into rock!!) liked it!!!!! I'm not saying this has anything rock. It doesn't have even a flavour of rock but my friends are very selctive about the kind of music they like and they actually loved this mix! - 11/10 I wonder where this girl would be if she had a good voice too. I respect her efforts and she should be given a chance by all those Britney haters. I'm sure you hate her because she sang poppy stuff like Baby one more time and oops I did it again which made her a teeny bopper. She's no more that. I agree she moans a lot in some of her songs but I don't see what's wrong with that. A sexy approach to music is also nice. She's doing pretty well right now and I think she deserves that. She's got a terrific video to support her predicted smash hit - Toxic and I hope it does well. This CD is highly recommended to people who're looking for good, dancy music with nice tunes and great beats. If you're looking for some serious lyrics supported by a a very good voice get something else! Music doesn't always have to be that. It can be fun once in a way! Hope you guys found this review usefula and sorry it became so long.
Free Music Review: Nice C.D. Hit: 5 Stars
In the year of 2003 Britney returned to the music scene from her wild year of antics with the infamous MTV kiss with Madonna. In November 2003 Britney released her stunning Cd 'In The Zone'. Britney released her best album yet. She transformed herself from a sexy young teenager to a provocative young woman. In the Zone takes listeners though a journey of different styles of music. From Hard hitting dance tracks, to dirty ghetto Hip Hop to viby trance tracks to beautiful peaceful ballads. This album shows Britney at her best. This album made critics label her "The New Madonna".
Me Against The Music - This is the infamous duet featuring Madonna. It is a hard hitting club dance track, very different from what is on the radios these days. The track is just about being in a club and being oblivious to everyone and freestyling. This is my 2nd Favourite track on the album and one of my favourite songs of all time. 10/10
(I Got That) Boom Boom - This track is an Up-tempo Hip Hop track perfect for the clubs. The track has also has an Indian vibe to it. This track features the Ying Yang Twins, which gives the track a dirty ghetto, feel to it. This song is my 3rd Favourite song on the album, and is one of the best Hip Hop songs I have ever heard. 10/10
Showdown - The famous UK producers Bloodshy & Avant produced this track. It is a great sexy dance track which features Britney whispering "I don't wanna be a tease. Would you undo my zipper please" This track is done very well. Again very unique. 9.5/10
Breathe On Me - This song is very club-savvy orientated and is one of the most sensual tracks on the album. The song has a HOT beat and is reminiscent to Kylie's Can't Get You Out Of My Head. This track describes the intensity of a relationship so hot that they don't even need to touch, just breathe. This is my Favourite track on the album and one of my favourite songs of all time. I can automatically see this song go #1 if it is released. 10/10
Early Mornin - The second this track commences you will automatically know that it is Moby produced. This track is very sexy and has a trance feel to it. The song is very vibey and is about the next morning after a big night out. 7/10
Toxic - This song is produced by Bloodshy & Avant. The song is HOT and fits Britney perfectly. The track is a hard hitting dance track which could easily be used as the theme song to Alias or the next bond movie. Critics are describing it the best song Britney has released since I'm A Slave For You. I love this track so much because of its uniqueness. 10/10
Outrageous - This is a typical R&B penned track. The second the song commences you will automatically realize it is R Kelly produced. This song is again perfect for the clubs and has an Indian vibe to it. The chorus is very catchy. 9.5/10
Touch Of My Hard -This is the most sensual song on the album. This song is a beautiful dance ballad reminiscent to Madonna's The Power Of Goodbye. This song is an ode to self-love. Although this song is not dirty at all, it is Britney's most mature song to date and has a sexy vibe to it. This is definitely a stand out track on the album. 10/10.
The Hook-Up - Redzone, the famous team behind the Britney/Madonna duet, produced this track. This song has an R&B reggae feel to it and is fairly uptempo. This track takes some getting used to but when your hooked your definelty hooked. 9/10
Shadow - This track is a beautiful ballad produced by The Matrix. This is very reminiscent to Avril's I'm With You. This track shows Britney's vocals at its best. 9/10
Brave New Girl - reminds me of her earlier stuff, Lucky in particular 10/10
Every Time - This track is absolutely stunning. Britney shines in this tale of heartbreak. This is definitely one of the most beautiful ballads ever written by not only Britney herself but of all time. The simple harmony makes you feel the words and the pain Britney has felt. This is a Guy Sigsworth produced ballad. 10/10
Me Against The Music (Remix) - This is remix to the First Single. The song was remixed by Peter Rishi and an Indian vibe has been added to it. The song is still very clubby and is probably one of the best remixes I have ever heard. 10/10
Free Music Review: BEST CD EVER!!! Hit: 5 Stars
This is one of the best cd's ever made. Britney's so versatile and unique. She doesn't need a powerful voive to be a good singer. But i like her voice. It's reallly smooth and clear. This cd has a lot of genres ranging from: Pop, Hip-Hop, Trance, rock, Dance, R&B, Reggea, Ballad, and Techno. A whole lot of genres on one cd. Every person should have at least one song that they like. Here are the rating's of the songs:1)Me against the music- 8.5/10 Her first single. It's a really catchy, ubeat song featuring the almighty Madonna. This song will make you dance all night long. 2)(I got that) Boom Boom- 9.5/10 Awesome beats accompanied by really good rappers called the Ying Yang Twins. This song has a southern-bass feel to it. And the chorus is the best part. 3)Showdown- 9/10 This song ...has a popcorn feel to it. It was produced by Avant. It kind of has an R&b, Reggea rock feel. It's a great sing-along. 4)Breathe on me- 9.5/10 Awesome trance song. it has a european vibe to it. It is very reminiscent to one of kylie minogues song which i can't remember. Awesome song though!!! 5)Early mornin'- 4/10 a moby produced track. this is her worst song ever!!! What was she thinking. It has no style and lacks substance. The chorus is the worst part. This song shouldn't of been on the album. 6)Toxic- 12/10 Her second single. This is the best Britney song ever!!! It sounds like A james Bond theme from the soundtrack. Very catchy chorus accompanied by awesome guitar and violin riffs. Every person can dance to this song. It has a western feel to it. It kind of sounds like Linkin Park's "Faint" in the beginning. Every peron that i know loves this song. Even anti-Britney people 7)Outrageous- 9/10 An R.Kelly produced song. It has awesome beats. It's one of the best sing-a-longs ever!!! It's kind of reminiscent to R.Kelly's thoia Thoing and Snake. 8)Touch of my hand- 9/10 A song about ...touching yourself in a povocative way. It has an Asian feel to it because of the Asian strings. It sounds like Cyndi Laupers "She Bop". I love the ending of the song. 9)The hook up- 7.5/10 A reggea song. It sounds like Baby Boy by Sean Paul and beyonce. An okay song. 10)shadow- 9/10 A matrix produced song. It sounds a lot like Avril Lavignes "I'm with you" which is a good thind. I love the climax of the song where Britney's voice is at her best. Her voice soars and becomes powerful. 11)Brave new girl- 8.5/10 A technopop song. Britney raps here and she raps pretty good. It's almost a remake of Madonna's "Ray of light". Her poppist song on the album. Her voice is computerized which makes the song more fun. It's so bubblegum just like her songs in her first album. 12)Everytime- 11/10 The second best song on the album that should definetely be her 3rd single. I can't believe she actually wrote the song and the piano rhythm. After anti-Britney People listen to this song. They should understand that Britney does have talent which will probably change anti-Britney people to Britney fans. 13)Me against the music(remix)- 7/10 An okay remix. It kind of has that Punjabi beat to it. The remix is nothing special. The only difference is the Indian beats. 14)The answer- 8/10 A P.diddy produced track. It's a really good song. it has awesome hip-hop and techno beats. A great song to dance to. 15)don't hang up- 7.5/10 A song about phone sex. It is an electronic song blended by techno beats. Her voice is the most breathiest in this album. Her voice doesn't really sound good on this song. But overall it's a good song. 16)I've just begun (having my fun)- 10/10 All i can say is WOW!!. This should be her 3rd single. It is very reminiscent to No Doubt's "Hella Good" It's a rock, pop, electronic-techno song. I love the verse better than the chorus. This song is about all the crazy publicity stunts that Britney has done. A very good song!!! I suggest you buy this album right now. you will fal in love with Britney when you hear this cd. I Britney's #1 fan. Buy this album right now!!! You won't regret it.
Free Music Review: In the Zone, A True Popstar Reflection Hit: 5 Stars
FULL ALBUM REVIEW - This album has a major hip-hop infleunce, yet still holds that pop edge that Britney is famous for. So if you don't care what the critics think, this is a FAN'S review of Britney's latest.ME AGAINST THE MUSIC - This is suprisingly the weakest track on the album. It's still a good track, but this CD has SOO much more to offer! (I GOT THAT BOOM BOOM) - At this point in the album, we start to get the hip-hop vibe begin to work its way in, this song with the help of the Ying Yang twins. The song has really cool beats, and generally would be the most club song-savvy of all of the songs on this CD. I like this song, but its defenitely not one of my favorties. SHOWDOWN - This is where Britney starts to get into the "touchy" sexual vibe of the CD, and she starts it well! This is one of my favorite songs on the CD, really pop/funk! This track was produced by Bloodshy and Avant - she should defenitely work with these producers for the next CD! It's very fast-paced, where Britney gets away with more talking than actual singing. BREATHE ON ME - This reminds me of Madonna's "Erotica" phase, but it's a lot smoother and as Britney would put it, "tastefully done." This song is defenitely going to be one of the songs to help define Britney's career, and the direction she's headed in (following in Ms. Ritche's steps). This is a really good song, baring a very sensual theme - nothing "hardcore." EARLY MORNIN' - This is the weirdest song I think Britney's ever done. Produced and written by Moby, this is one song I bet Britney will one day ask herself, "what was I thinking?!" Anyway, the song is basically about waking up with a hangover... TOXIC - This is another song the really stands out among the rest of the songs. It's really eclectic, fast-paced and just plain rhythmic! Britney's voice sounds great on this track, which sounds amazing with the strumming of the violins. OUTRAGEOUS - Let's just say this song truly has that R. Kelly signature to it - you can really tell this guy was behind this track! Another of the hip-hop flavored tracks, this song sounds amazing on Britney, where she talks about being "outrageous." It's a sexy track that would be a true partying hit on the dance floor. TOUCH OF MY HAND - If you thought Britney's venture into the "discovery of masturbation" was going to be tacky on this CD, you thought wrong. This is suprisingly one of the strongest songs on the CD. "I love myself, it's not a sin, I can't control what's happening," she croons behind exquisite middle-eastern inspired rhythm and beats. The lyrics behind this song are amazing, proving Britney's writing style has matured since she first started writing on her sophmore 2000 effort, "Oops!...I did it Again." THE HOOK UP - Britney's doing it all on this CD! This is a raggae track, written by Britney and produced by Redzone. This song doesn't really stand out all too much, but's it's a fun party song, showing off some awesome Britney vocals. SHADOW - When I first heard this song, which was produced by the Matrix (known for work with Avril Lavigne), I was slightly disappointed. I was really expecting more out of the Matrix, and this song just didn't cut it for me. Britney's voice sounds great on this song, but the lyrics in general sound like they could've made her first CD. This song is the one song that is holding back "In the Zone" from being out of the "Max Martin/Rami/...Baby One More Time" phase Britney got over until this point on this CD. BRAVE NEW GIRL - This is a very cool song. It's very "pop," but it isn't like the pop from her previous CD at all. It sounds intentional "pop-influenced" with that edge that makes it something more and something exciting. I really like this track! EVERYTIME - What a GREEEAAAT way to close off "In the Zone!" This song really explores how Britney has matured and has dealt with her world-famous break-up with Mr. Timberlake. This song is haunting, and really leaves the listener wanting for more! This is seriously one of my all-time favorite Britney songs!
Free Music Review: A little thought Hit: 5 Stars
While her voice seems to be deteriorating, her music and beats just keeps getting better and better. That goes for her lyrics as well. True, Britney Spears is no Whitney Houston, but why all the comparisons? If all artists were equally talented, there wouldn't be any variety or actual "favorites" because they would all be the same. So for all those 'critics' out there, enough with comparisons yeah? How about trying to focus on what each individual is capable of producing. Here's a song-by-song review.1. Me Against The Music- While this song doesn't suck, it obviously isn't good enough to be a 'hit' single. Perhaps a different single should have been used. Madonna doesn't offer much to this song, but it does tend to grow on you. 7/10 2. (I Got That) Boom Boom- Personally, The Ying Yang Twins were a horrible choice as artists featured on a Britney Spears album. The song has an interesting sound with the banjo and all and her voice is heard so it does okay. I doubt it would make a strong single. 8/10 3. Showdown- at first I could not stand this song. It has interesting lyrics that aren't too 'pop' and the music is decent. Britney shows signs of improvement on her songwriting skills and attempts. 8/10 4. Breathe On Me- This song is amazing. Notice I said song and not the lyrics or the singer herself. I really wish that Britney would belt out some more high notes as she did in 'Where Are You Know' on "Oops...I Did It Again". She has some great beats and the music gets you moving. A great song. 10/10 5. Early Mornin'- I would have named this song 'Early Moanin''. I often wonder why Britney is either afraid of her voice or does not wish to put it to good use. All this moanin', whisperin', and gigglin' is not singing. Moby produced this song and I personally don't like Moby. 6/10 6.Toxic- this song, I would consider one of the best songs ever produced onto Britney's album. This song has great music to it with it's violin sound and it's great. The lyrics aren't half bad and Miss Spears is actually singing! 10/10 7.Outrageous- it is obvious that R. Kelly helped produce this. His sound is very distinct and this song is decent. Although, the word 'outrageous' is over used. 8/10 8.Touch of My Hand- ah yes. The defining song of the album. It is sex driven and offers some very intimate lyrics. However, the song is not bad. It is influenced by Asian music and is possibly one of the best songs on the album. 10/10 9. The Hook Up- not a great song but has some great beats. There is one part of the song, somewhere in the middle? The singing is really fast, and one has to doubt whether it is really Britney singing or not. 7/10 10. Shadow- finally! A vocal song! The lyrics are a bit lame, the music isn't great, but at least she finally proves cynics wrong. Yeah, she doesn't have Aguilera pipes, but she does pretty well on this song. For Spears, it's quite good. 9/10 11. Brave New Girl- it contains a choppy chorus with decent rapping, but bad lyrics. It does have some good beats, but the whole robotic-digitalized-voice-changing thing makes it bad. Why doesn't she stick to her own voice? 6/10 12. Everytime- Ah...a ballad. A ballad that isn't horrific, but not exactly "Beautiful". She is all-alone on this track, no backups. Just Britney and her voice. Soothing no? 10/10 13. Me Against The Music Remix- One of the best remixes I have ever heard. It isn't too different, and I prefer this over the original. 9/10 Overall- 8/10 I would have enjoyed this album so much more if Spears' voice were put more to use. What is she so afraid of? Is her voice that bad? I honestly think that she would sell more albums and appeal to more people without this entire "cleanup" in her music. What is wrong with organic stuff? I rather hear her voice crack a little while she is belting out high notes, then have the entire songs crisp and clear. But Britney, you keep doing what you are doing. You rock!
