Free Music Notes for Live: 1975-85 (3CD)Free Music Review: BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN CAN NOT BE OUTDONE!!!!!!! Hit: 5 Stars
Go ahead, spend the money, you won't be sorry. Bruce's music brings tears to me eyes, lifts me up and makes me wanna seriously I would love to see him in concert after hearing this great box set, but he's already sold out!! I think he only keeps getting better. I also like a lot of his newer music.(Tunnel of Love!) Bruce, you might never read this, but - you are one of the best at what you do and deserve all your success!!!!!! (By the way, i live at the Jersey Shore).
Free Music Review: The Definitive live recording, so far Hit: 5 Stars
I won't repeat the many accolades I've read here, they're all accurate. The crowds you hear in this recording are roaring because Springsteen and the E Street Band have connected with something inside them, pouring out their hopes and dreams in a series of unforgettable songs. Springsteen reaches out to the audience, says "Come closer...listen up...I have a story to tell you." They listen, and are moved to anger, to laughter, to tears. So get this, listen, and be moved.
Free Music Review: If you are only going to own one Springsteen CD (set) Hit: 5 Stars
This is a wonderful CD even if you are only a casual boss fan. However, I have always questioned the inclusion of so much from Born in the USA (particularly since these versions did not vary much from the originals and 10 million people already had that album) and only one song from 1975 (there are plenty of clean soundboard copies from that year). But those complaints are minor in the big picture. This CD is worth the high price tag and much more. This is fun stuff.
Free Music Review: Marathon Man Hit: 5 Stars
Do you remember the good old days when Bruce's concerts seemed to go on forever and you loved every second of it? This is a good representation of that time. I would have put in a little more from earlier in his career and a little less from the USA period. Also, he used to play Twist & Shout and Honky Tonk Women way back when. Does anyone at Sony still have those tapes?
Free Music Review: Next Best Thing To Seeing Him Live Hit: 5 Stars
This box set is awesome!! Seeing Springsteen live comes close to a religous experience. While many reviewers here say this set doesn't to him justice it's hard to capture all the energy and excitement of a live show on disc but this comes close. Disc 2 is probably my favorite of the three. "Nebraska" and "Reason To Live" come across really well on here. Well worth the price.
