Free Music Notes for Working on a Dream (Deluxe Version with bonus DVD)Free Music Review: Bruce getting older BUT.... Hit: 5 Stars
I have been a huge fan of Bruce's for years and like most older musicians, Bruce's music is startng to mellow BUT I really like this album. There are a few songs on here I can do without but there are some on here that I really like and can listen to over and over again. Listen to Outlaw Pete more than once. The first time I was like ok...thats not bad..then I heard it again and was like...thats a great song. Its not Born to Run but its still really good. Mellower but very good.
Free Music Review: Nostalgic Bruce!!! Hit: 5 Stars
this album is witty, creative, mature, and nostalgic. Bruce has not looked back, nor should he. Their should never be a reapeat ot classics like 'Born to Run.' Don't expect it here. The very first song Outlaw Pete is a modern day CLASSIC!! The rest of the album the E street band & Bruce hit their stride. This is a creative piece that stands alone, and also acknowledges the loss of E Street organist Danny Federici....RIP Danny!
Free Music Review: still rockin, still the BOSS Hit: 5 Stars
Not quite as good as Magic (IMO), but damn somebody show me another rocker pushing 60 making anything this good. My only major quible, I wish Bruce would stop with the F bombs already, your a great writer Bruce, leave the cussin to 20 yo rappers please. Otherwise a great album, and a nice DVD that comes with (the "Night with the Jersey Devil" vid is a hoot). Cant wait to see Bruce and the ESB in Philly in April.
Free Music Review: Working On A Dream Hit: 5 Stars
This is Springsteen's usual very good album. Some songs are outstanding, some average and a few I don't care for in the limited time I have listened to them.. But even those will become favorites in time.
Working On A Dream, My Lucky Day, Good Eye, Kingdom of Days and even Queen of the Supermarket are some of my
favorites. A must have for even the casual fan!
Free Music Review: All you haters out there should STFU! Hit: 5 Stars
This is the best, most diverse Springsteen Album ever made. It plays like a mature sequel to The Wild, The Innocent & The E Street Shuffle, and the band has never played or sounded better. Those people out there who claim to be fans and think Bruce should retire should retire themselves. Ridiculous. Bruce and the Band seem reborn with this brilliant, great album.
