I hate reading subtitles, but this film is so good who cares. Think Mr. Holland's Opus and To Sir with Love, with subtitles and a little abuse. Gerard Jugnot is great as the music teacher and very realistic. All the boys are very believable in their rolls, but Jen-Baptiste Maunier voice is unbelievable. The scene when Mathieu is leaving the school and the boys are throwing notes out the window will tear you up. I haven't seen a film with a soundtrack and a PLOT in a long time. I have just come from the cinema & seen this ethereal film. The previous reviewer described a critic saying the music was mediocre and the plot lousy. Any critic who could describe this poignant and beautiful film in this way should hand in their critic's badge. The music is angelic, pure and mesmerising. The film is perhaps the most uplifting movie I have seen since Cinema Paradiso. Do not hestitate to see the film .. buying the soundtack will simply follow like night follows day.

This is excellent music, and if you haven't seen this film yet, I highly recommend it!! I don't always go for movies I would describe as "touching," but there is something about this one that just draws you in and keeps you thinking about it long afterward. Part of the draw is the haunting and beautiful soundtrack. I rarely buy movie soundtracks, but I had to have this one. The soloist is absolutely enchanting, and I hope to find more recordings by Les Petits Chanteurs de Saint-Marc Choir.Free Music Review: The Sleeper Film that knocks your socks off

I was reluctant to go see a French Film with subtitles because it seems like work to view this picture. But I was wrong. It flowed nicely, I loved the story line and I loved the message.
If you are a teacher, you will especially like this film and
the soundtrack is awesome.
The voices of these kids is nothing short of Angelic.
I didn't want the movie to end.
If you end up liking this movie, try renting "Children On Their Birthday's", you might like that to.

This is the best choral movie that I have seen in a very long time. I have loved that one song called Les Choristes. It had some beautiful singing from a lead chorister. I am going to highly recommend this song to many of my relatives and send them a link to listen to these exemplary songs. In fact I am going to save up my money to buy this album. I am going to end this review by saying Well Done...
