Free Music Notes for 15Free Music Review: the buck is back Hit: 4 Starswhen i heard that buckcherry had got back to get together(well the main two anyway),i eagerly waited the new album and i'm glad to say it doesn't disapoint.
this band have got to be one one the best hard rock bands of the last 15 years, i mean "lit up" has to rate as a bonafide classic along side songs such as "kick start my heart" and "paradise city".
this album follows on from "timebomb",its like they haven't been away(i also think that josh todd's album was great as well)
my personal favourites are "everything"(their best song behind "lit up" and"underneath"),"next to you" ,"sorry", "out of line" and "brooklyn"
buckcherry don't get much coverage here in aussieland which is a great injustice, so the chances of them touring here are remote
Free Music Review: The best rock album this year Hit: 5 StarsFor straight balls to the walls, fist pumping, adrenaline filled kick a** rock and roll you can't do much better than this CD. I've been a fan of their's since I first heard Lit Up. They may not be original but in this day and age when Nickelback is basically considered the king of hard rock on radio somethings wrong(and I even like some of their songs, but not when I'm wanting to hear something that's going to get my blood pumping). So for the love of God, if you want to hear some great hard rock tunes do yourself a favor and please pick this CD up. You want be disappointed.
Free Music Review: Bluesy riffs reminiscent of GN'R and Aerosmith in their prime, BUT... Hit: 4 Stars...there's also some filler (as per usual with Buckcherry). Songs like Next 2 You are catchy and cool, but not really as substantial as one would hope; comparatively the sleaze-rock hit Crazy Bitch is cool but almost tries too hard to capture the spirit of misogynistic '80s hard rock (think It's So Easy meets 2 Live Crew). The guitars are bluesy and capture the vibe of Perry and Slash and Josh Todd's have the raw screech of Steven Tyler, but overall I still think this band has a bit of a way to go before they become truly great - their albums tend to have a bit of filler and this is no exception. All they need now is a substantial hit like "Sweet Child O' Mine" and to put out a few songs that aren't quite as simplistic.
Free Music Review: Finally Hit: 5 StarsAt last, a rock band for the 21st century is back with an awesome CD that I would reccommend to everyone. My sister, who listens almost exclusively to Pop is in love with Buckcherry's 15 as well. What are you waiting for? Add this to your Cart!
