Free Music Notes for Giant Robot
Free Music Review: Giant album?

Having "discovered" Buckethead a few months back on YouTube, I must admit I have become somewhat enamored. I've acquired at least 15 of his albums, a few videos, and have made several of my own compilations. Having heard a few songs off of this album I was happy to find it at a great price and anxious to receive it. If you are already a Bucketfan then of course you know that this belongs in your collection. If not, I would start with another album such as "Monsters and Robots" or "Electric Tears" or one of my favorites "Crime Slunk Scene". This album, aside from a few songs such as "Welcome to Bucketheadland" and "Binge and Grab" offers little of Bucket's real talents. What puts this somewhat thinly known artist miles ahead of all the other "shredders" is not readily evident on this offering. Also is the somewhat self-indulgent mentioning of Buckethead throughout. As Frank sez, "Shuttup and play yer guitar". I would recommend the album "Giant Robot" by the band "Giant Robot" (featuring Bucket, of course)over this offering. (Confusing ain't it? This is Giant Robot by Buckethead, but he also was in a band called Giant Robot, which put out a self titled album.) It is out of print but is available as a free download at buckethead-coop.com.
