BfmV sheds the whole metalcore bit and makes a real album. Some of the guitar work here sounds more like vintage John Sykes than your typical screamo fare. There's lots of dynamics here, big arrangements, memorable hooks. As you can see, the fans are already divided. The Poison often sounded like the same song 13 times (hey, admittedly it's a pretty rad song); Scream Aim Fire is actually a complete album. It'll be interesting to see if the band can survive the shift. 9/10
