Free Music Review: early Joy Division (Warsaw) w/King Crimson & Soundgarden

If you're hip to the heavy, ominous shard-guitar vibes of early Joy Division/Warsaw, that's the primary influence here, with some early King Crimson prog action and definitely the sweaty/sexy/etc. Soundgarden thing (I coulda sworn the first SG single was BoH w when I first heard it). This was the Seattle band that many people circa '86 swore would win the grunge lottery, and while the material on the CD isn't quite the masterpiece my memory assured me it would be, songs like "White," "Drown," "Ash Wednesday," and most of the others haven't lost their power (and surprisingly, I haven't forgotten them in all these years). Very exciting that this item is available.
