Free Music Review: Brilliantly Creepy Work of true art

Well, I'm giving this record its fifth listening in two days right now, and I can't say enough good things about it. Fisrt, let me say that I am coming at this as a huge fan of the (now quite litterally Dead) Milkmen, but as a bigger fan of music in general. The arrangements are a wonderful combination of traditional Celtic/Early Gothic Folk strings with a very well produced rythym section. The lyrics are wonderfully morbid, and present a very cold tone which provide a wonderful contrast to the warmer feel of the music. Only a few complaints..Treetop Flotilla could have been used as a perfect resolve had it been used later in the album's playlist. It comes too early to work effectively in that regard. Also, I could have done without the cover, which disturbligly looks like something Dream Theatre or one of those type deals would have done. I was almost embarrassed to buy it for that reason only. Otherwise, This is a wonderful record. My compliments to the chef.
