Free Music Notes for Camelot (Original Broadway Cast)

Free Music Review: Dream Cast
Hit: 5 Stars

Oh could there ever be another Arthur other than Burton. Once you have heard this score sung by this cast all others pale. The movie version does not even compare although I am a Richard Harris fan indeed. I also agree with another reviewer as to what Hollywood was thinking not using this case in the film version. What a delight both visually and soundwise to see and hear this extrodinary group of players. Oh well, I am grateful it is now remastered and sounding better than ever. The golden days of Broadway.

Free Music Review: A must have!
Hit: 5 Stars

This is a wonderful musical performed wonderfully by Julie Andrews and Robert Goulet. Only I prefer Richard Harris for the role of King Aurthur. This is an incredibly deep play with wonderful music that can be beautiful, gripping, powerful, inspirational, hopeful, and even humerous (as some of the lyrics in "C'est Moi!" are) You can not call yourself truly cultured in media if you've never heard this soundtrack.

Free Music Review: SOME OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SONGS...
Hit: 5 Stars

...that have ever graced a Broadway show appear in Camelot. Julie Andrews is, as always, wonderful. Robert Goulet is grand, and even Richard Burton "says" his songs with great panache and style. That word says it all: this show has great STYLE. High standards of musical composition and superb performances make this show a true classic of the American theater.

Free Music Review: Camelot (Original Broadway Cast 1960)
Hit: 5 Stars

I had this LP years ago. This digitally remastered CD has a better sound. The words to the songs are crisp and clear. The music is wonderful. The songs are romantic and listening to them really lifts your spirits. Robert Goulet's performance is at its best. I would highly recommend this CD to anyone who enjoys good music.

Free Music Review: Let's go back to Camelot
Hit: 5 Stars

For those of us who lived through the '60s, listening to this "album" is a real time capsule. The soundtrack is from the Broadway show, not the movie. The optimism and romanticism of the musical came back to me. I had the record in the '60s and played it until it wore out, so it's great to have this digital recording.
