Free Music Review: Luchini

Not having heard this whole album yet, my only purpose here is to speak on Luchini. It's been out long enough to be considered a hip hop gem based on the fact that everytime I hear it I want to turn the isht up and nod my head. This song is a good example of the genius of true hip hop. Taking a barely memorable song (Dynasty's "Adventures in the Land of Music") and creating an infectious hook out of it. The very essence of hip hop to me has always been about taking an obscure or forgotten song and breathing new life into it (witness what Lord Tariq& Peter Gunz did to Steely Dan's "Black Cow") MC's may move the crowd, but the DJ's/ producer's of the world have to come with somethin fat to move the MC's. Luchini is a fine example of just that.
