Free Music Notes for Candlebox

Free Music Review: 90 Must have
Hit: 5 Stars

This is a great album if you are an audiophile like myself. One of those obscure grundge rock albums. Good writing of music and songs that are still being heard today over the radio.

Free Music Review: Underrated album
Hit: 5 Stars

I was going through the most formative years of music when this album came out, and me and all my friends where enamored by this album. Start to finish I would say this is a majorly under rated album from the era. Not only did It have the Big Hits "You" and the always popular "Far Behind", but very very good songs like "Cover Me" and "Rain". Unfortunatly the follow up album Lucy was Horrible, to this day Candlebox's self titled album ranks in my all time top ten, and a must own for anyone.

Free Music Review: Real Rockin roll
Hit: 5 Stars

Best they ever had!!! real no BS, wish they had another jamming one like this one the other cd's by them just isn't the same.

Free Music Review: Among the Top Ten Worst Albums of the 90s
Hit: 1 Stars

Cheesy guitar effects. Lyrics geared towards middle-school-aged girls. An obvious precursor for today's Evanescence and Creed.

Free Music Review: I really like this album
Hit: 4 Stars

I really like this album. Some of their music blends the sound of Seattle and the sound of moody Jazz. "Don't You" is a good opening song, I like the stop and go rhythm section. "You" is a song that starts off slow, but then builds up its momentum. "Cover Me" is your typical alternative ballad song mixed between acoustic and electric guitar sound. The highlight of the album is "Far Behind" which I think was the first single to be released from this album. As I remember this song was played on a heavy rotation on the radio and on MTV. It has this very unique 90's synthesizer sound that I find very amusing. "Far Behind" is a song dedicated to the late Andrew Wood, one of the chief pioneers of the Seattle rock sound in the early 80's.

This is a great beginners album to anybody who has interest in listening to early/mid-90's alternative music or anybody who wants to get into the habit listening to this stuff.
