Free Music Review: Ladies, and gentlemen...the finest hour (well, almost) of death metal ever created...

Let's just get it right the _ _ _ _ out of the way: this is undoubtedly, unequivocally, incontestably the finest death metal album ever created. Yes, that's right; incontestably. Why, might you ask? Sure:
1) (the most obvious reason) Cannibal Corpse is unquestionably the finest death metal band (at least in the traditional sense (ya know...within the genre that they more or less created)) in the history of the world, and this is their best album (and not by a narrow margin). Not only is (literally) every track on the album simply incredible from technical and creative standpoints, but, more importantly, 'engaging' both musically *and lyrically*. With each new track, you simply can't wait to hear the next one...and *that* is the hallmark of a *brilliant* musical creation (regardless of your opinion of their (obviously intentional) image and lack of concern for the well-being of children (or child-like minds) who might peruse (intentionally or not) their library). Sure...the lyrics just aren't very PC and all...but hey, this is CC, and this *is not meant to be taken as anything but the ultimate expression of free speech, intentional lack of taste (forgetting discretion), and probable middle-finger-raising to those who dare state that CC isn't entitled to the same rights provided by the U.S. constitution as those who would dare to try to suppress this excellence (phew...(*takes breath*)). If you can't honor and respect someone (or someones) for having the pure unadulterated audicity to do as such, then you have no place living in the great United States of America...it's really that simple.
2) Did I mention that every track on this masterpiece (truly a work of art, if nothing else) is *simply awesome*? Oh yeah...I guess I kinda did (above). From the very first minute of "The Bleeding," you know that there is simply no doubt that what is to follow is going to kick *all kinds* of ass, be it other metal bands', your grandmothers', or whoever else dares to call themselves "metal." They are nothing in comparison to this album, and will weep in its wake...

Really, that's all there is to it. The mother of all audacious (yup...I said it again) death metal albums (again: "The Bleeding") is simply *untouchable* (as proven by the countless imitators (including CC's follow-up albums) we've seen come to light over the past sixteen years), and if, for some reason, you're a fan of any type of true metal (or an honest critic who likes *genuinely original and listenable music, of any genre*) and haven't experienced that which is "The Bleeding," you simply must run (don't walk) to your nearest PC to immediately purchase (preferably a legal download (much faster than waiting for the CD in the mail)) it. It will change your perception of "good metal" (and maybe just your life, to boot (hopefully not in the form of paralysis from banging your head far beyond its limits (trust me, you won't be able to control it)). Own it now!
