Free Music Review: Carly's Coming Around Again.

What a treat. A beautiful relaxed album that flows like an old Carly album from the 70's. The best 2 songs are the songs her kids wrote. She must be very proud. The only song that doesn't belong is the rap song. It's theatrical and interesting but stops the flow of the cd. It would have worked better on it's own rather than in the middle of a folk/pop Carly album with a Brazilan sound. She somehow got her higher register back which was missing on her Into White album. If you are a Carly fan you will love this album. And if you don't like this album, then your not a Carly fan. She has musically aged better than Joni & Carole who were better than Carly in their heyday. Not any more.Free Music Review: Carly swings and sways with the best.

It's a treat to hear Carly sing on this album. The Brazilian and samba influences are a welcome addition to the originality of the songs Carly has written, along with two by Ben and Sally. Very few artists have had the staying power as has Carly, and her writing and singing talent is just confirmed again by "This Kind Of Love". Of all the songs on the CD I'm not particularly fond of the "People Say A Lot" pseudo-rap song, but it's inconsequential when you think that 12 of the 13 songs on the CD are so well done. You don't find that kind of quality very often at all.
Here's wishing we see more of Carly on CD's in the future.

This is a pleasant album, but certainly not her greatest. I particularly like the last song,"Too Soon to Say Goodbye" (which is dedicated to the late Buckminster Fuller), the title song (which has a great saxophone part that sounds like Kenny G), "Hold Out Your Heart," and perhaps 1 or 2 others which sound particularly Brazilian/samba-ish. Her voice sounds as lovely and sexy as ever, but perhaps the songwriting is not as inspired as many of her older, more famous songs.Free Music Review: Michael Johnston

An excellent production with better sound quality than some of Carly's recent output. There is a tendency on several of the tracks to indulge in over-extended tailend choruses with what sounds like a children's ensemble providing the vocal input. Nevertheless, a welcome addition to Carly's portfolio. Full of energy! Best tracks? - 5 and 12.Free Music Review: Her lasted album

I have followed Carly's career for many years . This new album is energetic and lively. I own just about every album Carly has made and she is still the best female vocalist that I still listen to today. She is down to earth and every album is a surprise. Never a dull album with Carly.
