Free Music Review: One of Carman's Best!! Hit: 4 Stars
Carman has always (from as early on as I can remember) sang a lot of songs that have stories to them. I think that's what's kept me listening to his music all this time-besides the most obvious fact that his music ALWAYS directly glorifies God, and he's got a good, strong voice. While I'm not into listening to his softer ballads most of the time, they're still uplifting and worth it to hear the creativity in his story-songs.
Free Music Review: that was fun Hit: 4 Stars
Two years ago when I wrote off ALL religion as stupid and worthless my friend bought me this cd. Thanks in large part to R.I.O.T. I am proud to say I believe in Christ.
Free Music Review: Good wholesome fun Hit: 3 Stars
Well, I've got to admit it, Carman has really outdone himself this time. Having already seen the video and his antics contained within, I knew what the main idea was behind his approach to "spreading christianity." Carman, playing a police officer, is pitted against the forces of urban evil, such as gangs, drugs, and little kids getting their jackets stolen in school bathrooms. It was somewhat amusing to hear his words without watching the man himself, because I already had engraved in my mind, and still do to this day, Carman's idea of approaching the problems of society. Carman seems to wish that Christianity could stop crime, as in his videos this is depicted with alot of distasteful and unrealistic acting. His "post-battle" descriptions of the neccessary steps we can all take towards a more perfect world leave the mature listener scratching their heads and thinking along the lines of "no, that doesn't work at all, actually." Nevertheless, there is a sense of promise and hope in Carman's words, and this is certainly decent for family listening.
