Free Music Notes for Carnival RideFree Music Review: She's gonna make brand new records with this album Hit: 5 Stars
You would think it would be hard to out do a six time platinum debut such as Some Hearts, but leave it to Carrie Underwood to outdo herself once again.
Carnival Ride has more of a country sound, which for us country fans is a good thing. It also showcases her growth as a singer. This album has alot of songs that shows Carrie's POWERHOUSE voice. Mark Bright returned to produce this album. Which also proves that the two make an inseperatable team.
The first song is called FLAT ON THE FLOOR and it will get you on the dance floor stomping your feet and clapping your hands, it's a rock-country song. Then we have the heartwarming All American Girl. So Small of course is a great song and earns the third track. Just A Dream is a beautiful song yet sad. It will hit home for any military wife who has lost their husband. Get out of this town and Crazy Dreams are both up tempo but not too fast and they are both very catchy. I KNOW YOU WON'T is a beautiful ballad about a girl who feels like she's in second place to something else. Last name is a great song, kinda has a before he cheats kinda vibe only no cheating it's about a girl who has too much to drink and goes out and does things she would never do sober. You Won't Find This is another great song. I told you so is a remake of the same song by Randy Travis. She doesn't disappoint with the final three songs either. The More Boys I meet is a true and kinda funny song. Twisted is more pop but it's the ONLY pop song. Finally Wheel of the world inspired the title Carnival Ride. The entire cd is wonderful and it will get a lot of air play in my cd player. Trust me if you thought she couldn't get any better you need to listen to this album she did it again folks, prepare for more chart breaking singles, and more world breaking things from her. I think faith hill will still be jealous of her but hey this girl is here to stay and isn't GOING ANYWHERE.
Free Music Review: A great ride Hit: 5 Stars
Carrie Underwood is a force to be reckoned with. Her debut CD: `Some Hearts' has sold 6 million copies, was released 2 years ago and she still has a hit on the charts from that effort. So, with her sophomore release of `Carnival Ride' it seems like a continuation seeing as how she has not left the charts since 2005. "So Small" (her first single release) is already blazing up the charts.
Carnival Ride is similar to `Some Hearts' yet different at the same time. It seems to be more country orientated with not as much crossover potential as her previous CD. It's the same where Carrie's voice is amazing no matter what she sings. The CD starts off with the great song: "Flat On The Floor" which if it is released as a single will have HUGE success. It's almost reminiscent of a Shania Twain anathematic song from her heyday. All songs are noteworthy but there are a few that have that extra something to them: the beautiful ballad: "Just A Dream" is a great song that shows off Carrie's powerhouse vocals with enchanting lyrics. A song that I could listen to over and over again and by far my favorite on the CD is: "I Know You Won't". What a gorgeous song with a very melodic sound to it. Carrie's vocals on this track are different than she has sung any other song. Amazing, amazing, amazing! This is a must hear! "Last Name" is an ode to one night stands that is pulled off very well and is sure to be a big hit for her. The closing song: "Wheel Of The World" is another phenomenal song that just pulls you in.
If Carrie is anything she is consistent - which is why she has had such a high level of success and why she will be around for years to come!!! This CD is worth the addition to anyone's collection.

Free Music Review: Long time fan------STUNNED. Hit: 5 Stars
I picked Carrie to WIN AI the second that I saw her first audition. That was a tie for my fav AI season ever!!!!! (Tied with the original AI Kelly Clarkson.) I tunned in each week knowing that she was going to nail it no matter what song she sang....loved her then and still do now. I will never forget her cover of "Alone" and " Independence Day" They were AMAZING!!!!!
Onto the album. I was stunned at how amazing this album is. I have been a huge fan since day 1 and I know how amazing her voice is, but every single song is great. This cd is well worth the money. I just bought the cd , money is tight, and I love this cd.I knew that I loved "so small", "all american girl", "just a dream", "I told you so", & "last name", but those are not the only great songs. "get out of this town" is a great song, the lyrics, vocals everything. That song was a sursprise, it wasn't a song that I thought fit her style, but it does! "I know you wont is a sad song and it has deep meaning can be very thought provoking."you wont find this " is a great song love the music, vocals, chorus, everything.....that song is so great, and I think alot of women can relate to the message of that song. "the more boys I meet" is fun and serious all at once. LOVE it......She really hit it on all cylenders for this album. Carrie's next album is due out in the fall of 09'. Every song tells a story and it is delivered to you via an amazing voice, you won't regret buying this album.
Just a reminder: If people don't continue to buy cds legally.....soon people who really love cds (and the liners) will not be able to buy them anymore.....the record companies will stop......We neeed to bring the record sales up. :):) save our CDs!!!!!
Free Music Review: An Exhilerating Carnival Ride Hit: 5 Stars
Having been a huge Carrie Underwood fan from the very beginning during her appearances on American Idol, I found that I could hardly wait for the next album. 'Some Hearts' had been in the car CD player since November 15, 2005. The new album is more than worthy to take its place.
Her vocals have matured and sound even better - if that's possible - on this new album, with some notes on 'Get Out of This Town' in a new range for her. I can foresee 'So Small' and its accompanying video winning Grammys next year.
I could write a whole review just for one track. 'Just A Dream' is a tragic tale of a girl whose military fiance's funeral is being held in the very church where they were to be married. It's very hard to listen to without getting all choked up. I don't see how Carrie is able to detach herself from the emotions evoked with her voice. It can reduce even the most grizzled retired vet to tears before it's over playing the first time through. What a magnificent tribute to love and to the heartbreak of losing a loved one to military service. She says on the Target exclusive DVD that the working title given for this track was 'Carrie's Song' and that the writers had "hit the nail on the head" with the lyrics. It is an amazing creation.
In addition to what is obviously my favorite track above, the rest of this 'Ride' has something for everybody. All are country, just coming from different angles: some fun, some melancoly and others celebrating freedom.
You actually don't have to like country to love Carrie's delivery since she pours so much of herself into each and every song.
As in her freshman release, there are no clunkers on this CD. I heartily recommend it for all.
Free Music Review: What Songs on Carnival Ride need to be in my IPOD!? Hit: 5 Stars
Carnival Ride is one of those rare CDs this year where you can listen to the whole CD all the way through, and without wanting or having to skip any tracks. So with that said what songs are a must have on ur IPOD. Here they are in my rightful opinion and in order of how to download!:
1) Flat on the Floor (especially if you were a big fan of Before He Cheats)
2) Just a Dream (great lyrics along with a beautiful chorus, tells a sad but great story. Definitely a ballad song)
3) Get out of this Town (probably one of my favorits on the album.Really good melody and Carrie's voice sores on this song)
4) Last Name (another song that resembles Before He Cheats. Its about a one night stand where she doesn't remember his or now her last name!)
5) Crazy Dreams (This is an anthem song for all those free spirits out there)
6) You Won't Find This (Another Ballad with great lyrics and truely a heartfelt song)
7) The More Boys I Meet (I know a lot of people will find this song cheezy, but I'm a girl and its a really funny song. Especially at the end of the chorus when Carrie sings "The more boys I meet, ..... the more I love my dog!".)
8) All-American Girl (It's a good song, and I know a lot of people will really like this song but its also a song thats been done so much before. But it does have a good chorus so I'm including it in my list)
The other songs are also good on the album as well. I've left out more of her Ballads off my download list because I'm not as big of a fan of ballads. So if you are disregard my picks!!! Hoped this helped for all you itunes downloaders and rippers!
