Free Music Notes for Carnival Ride

Free Music Review: better 2nd time around
Hit: 5 Stars

While i enjoyed "Some Hearts". I was hoping that this time she would up the ante. Its been done and then some with "Carnival Ride". Carrie's much more involved with the writing process time around writing four songs. It feels she is upped the game on the singing as well. The songs feel more alive and kicking with energy this time around. Don't get me wrong i loved "Before He Cheats" and the excellent video along with it and others from her first one.

This one kicks off great with "Flat on the Floor" that leaves you by songs end floored after just the one song. "All American Girl" comes after keeps the music ride going. Each song just keeps the fun and anticipation on high and it goes through the rest of the cd. Its an excellent followup to "Some Hearts" and does it one better by bringing more of Carrie out as an artist. I'm really looking forward to all that comes in the future for her.

She's a great example of the excellent change in direction of music and how more artists are putting out great songs that make an excellent cd..not just a few of them. All the songs on "Carnival Ride" are single and fan worthy as well. Great pickup for yourself or anyone else that is even slightly interested.

Free Music Review: Leagues Better Than her First Album.
Hit: 5 Stars

While most country stars go forward and reach for mainstream pop records, like Faith Hill, Carrie Underwood went in reverse. Her first disc had more than a few pop elements but this disc starts off with a foot stomper, "Flat on The Floor" and doesn't let up with fiddles, twang and chorus after chorus that will make you want to shout them out of your car windows. To say she has made a solid country disc in the vein of vintage Reba or Dolly is an understatement.

Underwood has even learned some new vocal tricks, as if she needed more, "Get Out of This Town," builds from an already assured vocal into a firestorm. Underwood isn't afraid to just go with the vocal and give a stronger reading as well. That was evident in her cover of "I'll Stand By You," which was simply stunning.

"Carnival Ride," is void of any weak tracks and this day and age that's a rare finding, some are stronger than others but, Jebus, the girl is giving her all to prove that she's a more than just a pretty face who sings country, she's trying to prove it's in her blood. And when you hear "You Won't Find This," that brings about that sing songy chorus that Shania Twain loves so much, you'll be a happy camper with your purchase.

Free Music Review: Another great album. Incredible voice!!!
Hit: 5 Stars

Wow... I've been listening to this album for the past two weeks. The first album was great. This album just proves that this is the only American Idol winner that was born to be a real music artist. The album is so much more developed and grown-up compared to her last album. The main reason I purchase this album was because I was very curious to see this 'voice improvement' everyone was commenting about. You hear her great voice throughout the album, but there are a few songs that you listen to her and just sit back and say "Wow!". Don't know how, but her voice is so much more incredible in this album. Listen to the song "I Know You Won't". The words are touching, but her voice is what drives this song. It's just amazing!

This album is less pop and more country than her last. But I get the feeling the whole American Idol production rushes the winners to finish their first album. This album sounds like she really had the time to sit down and write. I just love this album, and I've never really had a country album that I've liked in whole.

Carrie Underwood is just amazing! I highly recommend this album to anyone, even if you don't like country.

Free Music Review: I love the music of Carrie Underwood
Hit: 5 Stars

I love this new CD from Carrie Underwood. This is an excellent sophomore effort from music's biggest star. Every track is a winner on this disc. I love all the instruments featured on these tracks especially the violin, the banjo and the electric guitar. Carrie changes the tempo of the tracks on this album nicely. She sounds so feisty and strong on the tracks "Flat On The Floor" and "Last Name". "Get Out Of This Town" is a standout track about getting out of a town and having fun on the open road. "All American Girl" is a good song about how having a child can change our lives. "The More Boys I Meet" is a funny song about having bad luck with dating guys. "Wheel Of The World" is a pretty song about how quickly life can change. "I Told You So" is another great track. I love the tenderness in Carrie's voice on this song. "So Small" is a sweet love song. "I Know You Won't" is a beautiful song about being disappointed over and over by a loved one. "Crazy Dreams" is a song about not giving up on our dreams. This is a very uplifting song. I love this CD.

Free Music Review: HURRAY !!! Roo Roo Roo Roo 5 Stars

Yes!...It's True!...I Withold A Copy Of Carrie Underwood's Sophomore Record "Carnival Ride"! I Had No Intentions Of Purchasing Or Even If "Leave A Review". I Have To Say That "Carnival Ride" (In My Opinion) Is More Enjoyable & Fun Than "Some Hearts", Carrie's Voice Has Improved Since Her Debut And It Shows. I'm An Upbeat Individual For The Most Part And My Absolute Favorites Over And Over Would Be The "Shawn Colvin"-Esque "Twisted" Along With The "Mary Chapin Carpenter"-Esque Of "The More Boys I Meet" Alongside Two Of Her INCREDIBLE Ballads That Caught My Attention Right From The Start, The Single "So Small" And The Title Which Concludes The Show "Wheel Of The World". I Played The CD All The Way Through And I Know What I Like, The Songs That I Mentioned Here Have Been On Repeat Atleast 10 Times. While I've Only Posessed "Carnival Ride" For Only Less Than A Day, I'm "Sure" The Record Will Evolve More Into My Likeing As Time Unwinds. Once Again, I Am Having So Much Fun With This Batch Of Songs. I Can't Wait To Learn All The Words To Each Track So I Can Sing-A-Long!
