Free Music Notes for Carnival RideFree Music Review: She will become a Country Megastar!! Hit: 5 Stars
My daughter competed with Carrie Underwood in talent shows several years ago in & around Oklahoma, so I have known for a long time what an incredible talent Carrie is. I faithfully watched her on Idol, & bought her first album immediately. I loved it and have played it a million times.
Today I bought "Carnival Ride" & after listening to it I must say I am blown away! This album has hands down by far the best vocals I have ever heard. Faith, Martina, you girls better look out! The song "I Know You Won't" gave me goose bumps & when she belted out that incredibly long note I found myself catching my breath. It is a haunting, beautifully sung ballad that will leave you breathless.
This CD is excellent from the first to the last. CD's like that are few and far between. If you have not already purchased this CD get it. I highly recommend it. It is a true country album from start to finish. Have not heard one of those in a long long time!
Free Music Review: Great Sophmore Album With Virtually Flawless Vocals and a Touching Message Hit: 5 Stars
I have been a fan of Carrie Underwood since Season Four of American Idol. I thought her audition was great and she continued to impress, wowing everyone with her version of Heart's Alone. Carrie does not disappoint on her Sophmore album. Her vocals are virtually flawless and she brings creative nuances to every line. The listener never gets bored. She is truly a gifted singer. Carrie also conveys the meaning of each song in a genuine way. Although I doubt anything will come close to delivering the emotional punch of Jesus Take the Wheel, she does a fantastic job on So Small of reminding us not to let our problems overwhelm our lives to the detriment of our loved ones. I also loved All American Girl and Wheel of the World. Every song on the album is well done and she shows that she has definitely earned all of the accolades. Her second album was long overdue and I hope she will make many more in the future. It is definitely worth the purchase.
Free Music Review: I think the girl's here to stay. Hit: 5 Stars
I love Carrie's first effort, "Some Hearts," so much so that I was worried that "Carnival Ride" wouldn't be as great. After listening a few times, I think Carrie has another multiplatinum album on her hands. Although distinctly Country, there's something for everyone here -- the gritty, rock-flavored "Flat On The Floor," along with beautiful ballads such as "So Small," "You Won't Find This" and "Wheel Of The World" not to mention the just plain-out fun, "Last Name." Carrie does them all justice. Her voice is amazing. One of my favorites is "I Know You Won't" but it's not because of the song. To be honest, I think it's a bit whiney, however, Carrie's delivery is so beautiful and strong that she's made me a believer. So if you loved "Some Hearts," you're going to love this one. I give it 4.75 stars only because I'm not wild about every single song the way I was the first time around with "Some Hearts." Overall, it's an excellent sophomore album.
Free Music Review: Carnival Ride is Just a Dream Hit: 5 Stars
Why is Carnival Ride Just a Dream? Because it's unbelievably good and the best song on the album is also called Just a Dream.
Underwood shows in this album how much she has grown as an artist and how wonderful her voice is. Let's talk about vocals! Her range, pitch, tone and absolutely everything about her voice is heaven sent.
This sophomore effort shows how she has also grown as a song writer. 4 of the most powerful tracks were written by her and let me you that if she's not talented enough now she also jumps big time into writing flawlessly.
This Carnival Ride is certainly just starting. This album promises a lot. Instant hits are just waiting to be released to radio and tv.
Congratulations Carrie! Thanks for letting us be part of your Carnival Ride.
Free Music Review: Superb!! Hit: 5 Stars
Carrie Underwood is simply SUPERB in this sophomoric release after the sensational success of "Some Hearts". This cd proves that it wasn't just luck that won her so many awards. She has one of the best voices I've ever heard and can utilize her vocals with so much ease that it makes it hard for anyone not to like her and appreciate her raw talent. What's also special about Carrie is that she can show-off her "twang" and rock the country beat in one song and then easily soar in a beatiful and powerful ballad on the next. I actually think I enjoy this cd even more than her 1st Awesome debut if that is possible. Her voice is just amazing and can make even the most cringeworthy country doubters sit up and take a listen. Give this one a shot - you may be pleasantly surprised!
