Free Music Review: She knocked it out of the park!

Carrie Underwood really knocked it out of the park on her sophmore album! This CD is fantastic! She sounds excellent, the songs are great and she should be very proud of this project. There's a nice mix of fun songs (The More Boys I Meet) and deeply moving songs (Just A Dream).
"Just A Dream" brought me to tears the first (and every time after) I heard it. "The More Boys I Meet" could be the anthem of every young women out there dating and just makes you laugh! "So Small" should be the anthem we all live our lives by - this song reminds me that the things I take so seriously don't really matter when it comes right down to it. "I Told You So" is a beautiful remake of a great old song!
Thank you Carrie for another great collection of songs!

I bought the first cd, "Some Hearts" and liked it a lot. But I thought the "Carnival Ride" cd wouldn't be as good. But when I got the cd as a Christmas present and I listened to it, I changed my mind! The first song " Flat on the Floor" made me think the whole cd would be "twangy- country." But it turned out it had a good mix of pop-country songs and good 'ole country! There seemed to be more slow songs on this cd than the first, but they are still awesome! Carrie's voice is definitely better and she shows it in all of her songs. I especially love the songs " All-American girl," "Get Out of This Town," and " I Know you Won't" You won't regret buying this cd.....if you loved her first cd, you will like this cd even better! I have enjoyed Carrie since her days on American Idol. I loved her first CD and was a little nervous of the 'sophmore slump' with the second album. Well I need not have worried because I absolutely loved it!!!!!! Maybe it is the vet in me but I especially loved 'The more Boys I meet' (The more I love my Dog!!!) I am having a hard time finding a song I don't like and skip through, it just hasn't happened yet. I am a big country fan and glad to see that she has gone more country and less pop this time round - it suits her.
Other songs I enjoyed are 'Get out of this town' and 'Crazy Dreams' -- but as I say I have a hard time writing anything bad about this album. So way to go Carrie - can't wait for the next one! How about a Christmas album now!!

I'm not a big fan of most Country music, but I really like Carrie Underwood, she's beautiful and in my opinion one of the most talented female singers I've heard in years!!! There are not many songs that grab me and tug at my heart. When I heard, "I know you won't" I was deeply touched not just by the words, but by the amount of emotion that Carrie was able to put into this song. It's difficult for me to explain, but few artists are able to reach inside my soul and take it through a deeply emotional journey, but Carrie was able to do that with this song. I look forward to many years of Carrie Underwood, she's blessed, not only with a beautiful voice, but with the ability to touch us, (me) on a deeply emotional level. There is no sophomore jinx on this album. I think this is one of the best country album this year. For me Carnival Ride is on par or a little better than Some Hearts but you can really notice the changes/maturity in her voice on this album as she belts out those lines in the songs. There are standouts songs on this album and some were okay but not bad. The standout for me are: Flat on the Floor, I Know You Won't, Just A Dream, and Get Out of This Town. I recommend this CD to everybody, this is one of the must buy albums this year. If I were you I will not listen to those 1 star reviewers on this site. I recommend that you listen to the cd first because every major music critics out there are giving this album great reviews. Go get your copy now!!
