Free Music Review: The Best You Will Find

The Cars are a band that I have listened to since I was small. They will always be one of my favorite bands and I will always enjoy listening to their songs. Before this, I listened to their eighties greatest hits on cassette. Now, this compilation updates and exceeds the older album's greatness. There maybe a song or two unfairly left off, but this album as a whole does not dissapoint.
1. Just What I Needed: The title says it all. It was their breakthrough hit and it will remain one of their best. 10 out of 10.
2. My Best Friend's Girl: The hits keep coming! The guitars will not leave your head for a week, and the chorus never lets up. 10 out of 10.
3. Good Time Roll: Their opening song on their first album. Don't let the slow opening fool you. Once you hear it through, you'll love it. 9 out of 10.
4. You're All I've Got Tonight: That opening guitar will hook you, and there's no turning back! What a rocking song! 9 out of 10.
5. Bye Bye Love: I used to skip this one, but it has since grwon on me. The screaming in the middle is what gets you on this track. A very good song. 8.5 out of 10.
6. Moving In Stereo: This shows a darker, futuristic side of the Cars, and it rocks as much as the lighter side. The guitars and keyboards work together seemlessly here. 8.5 out of 10.
7. Let's Go: And they're off again! This rocking tune is one of their best. Everything about this song shines. 10 out of 10.
8. It's All I Can Do: The Cars could be a softer, more sentimental band, as shown by this moving track. Inventive lyrics and catchy chorus. 8 out of 10.
9. Dangerous Type: The riff alone makes this a classic Cars tune. You'll love it like the rest. 8.5 otu of 10.
10. Touch And Go: An attempt at being artistic on their third album produced this complex song. The keyboards sound a bit dated, but the guitars and chorus save it and make it a hit. 8 out of 10.
11. Shake It Up: Many people hate this song, but it reached number four on the charts for a reason. The tune will stick in your mind like glue. I really love the guitar riffs. 9.5 out of 10.
12. Since You're Gone: A truly underrated Cars song. Slower than most here, it has a unique beat and lyrics. Trust me, it rocks. 8.5 out of 10.
13. I'm Not The One: An attempt to sound exotic succeeds here. It's quiet and refined, although I like the version from the old greatest hits a little better. 8 out of 10.
14. You Might Think: The Cars pick up the pace with this all-out fun rocker. It screams pure eighties, and has a comical music video to back its greatness. 9.5 out of 10.
15. Drive: One of the best slow songs ever. It's the Cars at their commercial peak. You have to hear it to believe it. 10 out of 10.
16. Magic: In the same vein as "You Might Think," this is a very fun song. The guitars rock and so does the beat. You'll want to sing along. 8.5 out of 10.
17. Hello Again: One of their quirkiest songs. It's so avant-gard, it's interesting. The beat is very dancable. 8 out of 10.
18. Why Can't I Have You: My only complaint on this album. Another attempt at an exotic song flops. I would have chosen plenty of Cars songs before this. Skip it, please. 5 out of 10.
19. Tonight She Comes: The Cars redeem themselves with this later gem. The eighties feel and the thick guitar sound only adds to its charm. A definite keeper. 9.5 out of 10.
20. You Are The Girl: Very basic Cars. One of their last hits too. No complaints here, but I would have closed the album out with "Tonight She Comes." Still a good song, nonetheless. 8 out of 10.
Overall Rating: 9.5. As a whole, this is one of my most listenable albums. Get it, because it rocks.
