I have every other CD Ms. Wilson has recorded & love them each in their own way, but this one - I can't. I tried on several different occasions to give this one some air & finally decided to let it go. Mind you, I do own it cause I was trying to keep the collection going (cause she IS good & everyone should have at least two of her in their collection), but not today. Not this one. For some reason, it seems rather bland & she sounds bored - nothing moved me. I'll wait until her next one comes around to give her some luv :-)Free Music Review: Low energy performances

I have enjoyed some of Ms. Wilson's recordings in the past (e.g. "Blue Light Till Dawn") so this album of standards seemed like it might be enjoyable. Let me put my reaction as simply as possible. This is perhaps the worst purchase that I've made in years - and I buy dozens of CDs and DVDs every year. The arrangements are dreadful. The vocal style is dreadful. The phrasing is dreadful. In total - you guesed it - IT'S DREADFUL!!! I wouldn't even use this CD as a coaster. It might foul my drink.
