Free Music Review: Great CD, great lyrics, great music

This CD is great! Every song is a good one, with poignant, piercing, fierce lyrics and compelling music. I had never heard of Casting Crowns before so I bought this CD strictly on recommendations from Amazon, and am very glad I did. I think this would appeal to young people; however, my husband and I are almost 50 and we both love it. In fact, I let my husband listen to it in his car, and he enjoyed it so much that I bought him his own copy--this is only the second CD we've every bought in duplicate in our lives.
It is more worship music than entertainment, and so although it is enjoyable, too, it brings the presence of the Lord into our lives in a tangible way.
I would highly recommend purchasing this CD for Christians of all ages and backgrounds. I think that the quality and earnestness of the CD is such that non-Christians would enjoy it as well, plus have an experience of the Lord in a way that would be very positive.

When I first heard the song "If We Are the Body", I was curious who the group was singing it. I love the lead singer's voice. I kept hearing it played on the radio but never found out who the group was. Then later on I heard their other song "Who Am I", and I just melted. It was so powerful where it says that the Lord of all the earth would care to know my name & would care to feel my hurt.... Plus where it says not because of who I am but because of what You've done, not because of what I've done but because of who You are. Well after that song I just had to buy the CD once I found out it was Casting Crowns. I was truly blessed by their music which is great & listening to the lyrics are so uplifting & encouraging. All of the songs are wonderful. You can't go wrong in getting this CD. I think if you buy the CD you will agree that it is powerful & awesome, and you won't be disappointed! I bought this Cd and after doing so went to a Casting Crown's concert. Amazing... First class songwriting. My favorites are tracks 2, 3 and 4, but they are all life changing songs. Everyone can relate to the hurt of others in track 2, because we've all been there at one time or another feeling like people were loooking at us and judging us because we didn't look the right way, fit in or etc. As Christians, if that song doesn't shake you into reality of the hurting world around us, your heart is cold and dead. Track 3 inspires me so much to go after my dreams and not be defeated in life. It totally makes you feel like a champion who can conquer any obstacle with God's help. This is one of my favorite encouraging Cd's. You can feel God speaking to you through the lyrics of these songs. A must have CD for every Christian.Free Music Review: About Time.

This album is outstanding!!! I have veen a fan of "Casting Crowns" since they got their start at my church in 1999. At the time I was searching... and doubting many things. This band, and the music were often the only reason I'd show to worship. I always hoped they would go somewhere with their talent, and am so proud that they have. Christian music has been in need of something like this. I am greatful to have known them before, and to still call them my friends. Mark, you are amazing and always will be. I was initially "shocked" by some of the song arrangements only because I have heard various versions of many of them.. i.e. "Voice of Truth" But they have all grown on me, and I love them. Very worthy of all the glowing comments.
Everyone who hasn't should check them out and get their hands on the other albums.
Free Music Review: A Challenging CD

Wow! What a wonderful CD! I first heard the songs from this CD on the radio and thought they had a powerful message. They all challenge us to a higher walk with Christ. The song "We Are The Body" challenges me to always show love to others. We need to be like Christ. I especially love the song "Praise Him In The Dance". Dance is a wonderful part of worship that has been stripped from the traditional church. Dancing before the Lord (like David danced) was common in the churches in biblical times but somewhere along the way dance was removed from the church. This song is a beautiful reminder that we need to praise the Lord with all that is in us and praise him with dance. I would reccommend this CD to anyone who wants to be challenged and have a closer walk with the Lord.
