I expected this to be a good CD, but it certainly surpassed my expectations in a huge way. So much food for hungry souls in this praiseworthy effort by Casting Crowns.I would have bought this CD just for the opportunity to listen to the popular "If We Are The Body". With lyrics that should make us squirm in our comfortable Christian lives, Casting Crowns challenges us to step up to the plate and be the example that He expects us to be. The talent of these musicians is surpassed only by their devotion to the ministry of spreading His Word. Every track has you tapping your feet, singing in the car at the top of your voice, or swallowing a lump in your throat. This is a great CD to share with the unchurched who are searching and looking for answers in this frantic world.

I got this CD after hearing Who Am I and If We Are The Body on the radio. I was a little dubious at first, this being the first CD they've put out and all, and it was the cheapest CD in the store I was at, so I figured that it wasn't moving well because it wasn't good. Boy, am I glad that I decided to buy it! Casting Crowns is an amazing album and an amazing band. What if His People Prayed is an eye-opener, and American Dream hits home all too well. Life of Praise and Here I go Again are amazing as well. The only real complaint I have is that Glory and Praise You With The Dance are way too similar. I originally thought that they were one ultra-long song, instead of two not-quite-so-long songs. All in all, more than the five stars I can give it. I have been a Christian for over twenty years and have purchased more Christian CDs then I could possibly count and I must say that this ranks up there as one of my favorites, if not my ultimate favorite. I received this CD as a birthday gift and I was unfamilar with the group so I almost returned. I am so thankful that I didn't. God has used the songs on this CD to minister to me in a truely remarkable way, like I have never experienced before. "Who Am I" brings me to tears everytime I hear it. It speaks of God's awesome love for us. My other favorite that has become my theme song is "Voice of Truth". Truly a remakable band and incredible songs. I recently purchase their second CD Lifesong and I love that one too! You won't be disappointed!Free Music Review: Utterly Compelling

This CD is worth every dime you spend on it. However, if you go to apple's i-tunes you can get it for under $10 if you don't mind not having the physical cd.
Some of the songs are a bit on the cheesy contemporary christian side. On the other hand, I gave this album five stars for the following songs:
1. American Dream
2. Here I Go Again
3. Voice of Truth
4. Who am I?
Any amount of money you spend will be well worth these four songs. Heck, just go to itunes and pay $.99 for each of them and you'll be set. These four songs are utterly compelling and they will change your life if you will allow them to.
Five stars for a great album, I look forward to much more from Casting Crowns
