This is some great rock n roll music. I was very amazed when I found out they were a worship band at a church. What a blessing if they attended your church! I really enjoyed this cd mostly because of the great music but the lyrics are also very captivating and each tell a different story and really pull the listener in and make you challange your own faith and really want to change your life and make a difference in the world. "Who am I" is a very good song about finding yourself. "We are the Body" is also a very good song which makes the listener want to jump up and make a difference in our world. I give it 5 big stars. The music on this CD is great. The lyrics are scripturally based. "Voice of Truth" proclaims that when we listen to the Lord, rather than other voices in our lives that tempt and taunt us, we can experience victory. This quickly became one of my favorite CDs for all of the encouraging and rather challenging lyrics, such as in "What if His People Prayed" and "Here I go Again." These are songs that challenge believers to pray, live, walk, and talk with intense faith in and love for Christ. Some of the songs are highly energetic, while some other songs are deeply soulful. If you like the song, "If We Are the Body" then you will really like this CD.Free Music Review: Excellent

This debut by Casting Crowns is excellent.
It combines a strong message in the lyrics with great vocals and instrumentation.
The first song is "What If His People Prayed" which is a great reminder and challenge to Christians about a vital subject. The next one is "If We Are The Body" which challenges us to get out and add action to faith in reaching people who are hurting.
"Here I Go Again" is another instant classic on this album with great sound and powerful words. There are also several other top notch songs in this collection.
With a debut this good, I can hardly wait to see what comes next.

FANTASTIC! I was never impressed with the Christian music I had heard in my youth (80's) and wrote off the whole genre as something I would never really be able to enjoy. After getting saved a year ago, I thought, now what? While I didn't necessarily love the message of secular songs, I loved secular music.
I thought if I quit listening to secular music, I'd have to sacrifice. What a refreshing discovery that I can enjoy music and praise God at the same time. Casting Crowns' music is excellent, their voices are beautiful, and their lyrics truly focused on worship. Thank God for such talented musicians.

This is not your ordinary worship album, in fact I wouldn't even classify it as Christian rock or alternative. Here's a group of guys and a girl that have a passion for changing how the current generation looks at Christianity. Every song challenges you in your 3rd grade Christian beliefs and encourages you reach out to those around you and really be the light that Paul speaks of. The music is incredibly well written and will leave you singing it well after you're done listening. For a refreshing take on what worship/praise can look like in an appealing way for our modern generation, this is the CD of the year!!!
