Free Music Notes for Mona Bone JakonFree Music Review: Its Poetry Hit: 5 Stars
Cat Stevens is a poet, and this is . . . great poetry. Its tender, angry, sublime, reaching, and even transcendent.
He's part angry young man, and all Seeker of Life's Meaning. These are the songs of a profound human being; take it when you find it, its rare, cheap imitations abound; this is the real thing.
This album is the kind of music I would like my son and daughter to grow up with, alongside the literature of Hermann Hesse, Somerset Maugham, and James Hilton.
Free Music Review: Oh Yeahhhh. Cat Rules. Hit: 5 Stars
My favorite Cat release - like most, I got into Cat because of the film Harold & Maude - and several of the tunes are here, including the haunting 'Trouble' The rest of the album is also wonderful - the only filler would be 'Rock Star', but even it grows on you. Sad that this album was not better represented on his popular 'Best of' release. This is the best of Cat along with the 'Tillerman' album.
Free Music Review: Back with a BANG... Hit: 5 Stars
This was Cats First Album since his illness in the early Seventies...it was his third album if you include his first two with Decca. It really is an amazing album... his lyrics are superb... no one can beat him...even to this day..The songs have a catchy beat to them...and it was a perfect come back... A Must Get

This is a classic early CDMona Bone Jakon of Cat Stevens when he began to be famous internationally. Beautiful acoustic guitar with intelligent and thoughtful lyrics, and great melodies. Classic Cat!
Free Music Review: Excellent Hit: 5 Stars
I rank this album right up there with Tillerman and Firecat. There's less commercial production in this work and a lot more feeling from Cat Stevens. I would recommend this one to anyone.
