Free Music Notes for Peter Pan (1997 Studio Cast)Free Music Review: Sensational! Mary who....? Hit: 5 Stars
Yes, it's that good -- and Cathy Rigby in the title role is that great! I saw this terrific production at the LaMirada Theatre in Orange County, and I was reminded of it when I recently heard this CD at a friend's house. I loved "Peter Pan" since I was a kid and have it on video (the Disney animated classic and the grainy Mary Martin TV special). This CD is on order AND I CAN'T WAIT! A perfect gift for kids and grown-ups for Christmas!
Free Music Review: Wonderful! Hit: 5 Stars
Peter Pan is a charming musical! I recently saw Cathy Rigby as Peter Pan at the Orpheum Theater in San Francisco. Although no one can beat Mary Martin, she comes close and is wonderful as the little boy who won't grow up. Her voice gives Peter Pan a sparkle and a little boy flare! Paul Schoeffer is a wonderfully hissable Captain Hook! This is a truly splendid new recording of Peter Pan!
Free Music Review: Worthy successor of the original Hit: 5 Stars
I recently saw the video of this Broadway production, and I have to say that it's great! One of the most fun musicals of all time has been given a new life. All the great songs are on here, including "I'm Flying", "Neverland", "Captain Hook's Waltz" and so many more. I really recommend this CD!
Free Music Review: Great fun for everyone! Hit: 5 Stars
Watching Mary Martin perform peter pan as a kid, was such great joy... but I have to say that Cathy Rigby puts on a more worthy performance. The new orchestrations are full of life and energy, and the entire cast has great voices and perfomances. I recommend you buy this CD and "never grow up!"
Free Music Review: The first new recording of this musical since Mary Martin Hit: 5 Stars
This new recording, starring Cathy Rigby in the title role, with Paul Schoeffler as Hook and Elisa Sagardia as Wendy was inspired by the 1998 national tour. It features new orchestrations by Craig Barna, the show's musical director and provides a fresh new sound to one of Broadway's best loved scores.
