Free Music Notes for Cats (1982 Original Broadway Cast)

Free Music Review: deserves every little compliment it gets
Hit: 5 Stars

i just recently seen cats for the first time and i got to say its a hell of a musical! i always seen the commercials and i slightly remember the video airing on television years back, i never got to see it til several days ago on the nineteenth of january. i loved the whole production, the set was immense and amazing, the cast was simply radiating and their cat impressions are unbelievable, the music is just enchantingly perfect, the way the whole crew onstage and backstage worked together is just incredible. everyone must see this play! see it! some people dont like it, i dont know how, but they dont, either ure drunk or have epilepsy i dont know how a person can see cats and still dislike it. i am dying to see it again with my mother. i would want her to have the same experience and leave her with that same feeling of content as we watch it together. watch it! i promise u a whole new perspective on musicals and have a definition of the word: magic.

Free Music Review: Awsome
Hit: 5 Stars

When I first saw this on TV a couple of years ago, I didn't like it. But I saw this in Person on Novemeber 15, 2003. It was soo awsome!! You see, I live in Minnesota, and there is a theatre called 'The Chanhassen Dinner Theatre' and since October it has been showing Their Version of 'Cats'. It's basically the same as the original, the spectacular special effects and awsome costumes. The only difference was they left out Growltiger and Billy Mccaw. It was really believable, During Intermission, some of the cast members came out into the audience and acted like a real cat would, napping on a ledge like a real cat, and play fighting like kittens. One even was batting at some wires hanging down from the ceiling. It was so cool. They were selling this copy of Cats at their gift shop, along with shirts. Unfortunatly I didn't bring along enough money to get it, and it took me a while to find this, But I Loved the Music.
You should really get this.

WOW!I mean WOW!This cd is awesome!Ken Page is Old Dueteronomy!Betty Buckley is GREAT!But I would say that ELaine Page is a better Grizabella.Betty is good don't get me wrong.Harry Groener is a great Munkustrap(the best you can get)!Jellylorum is GREAT!The best one you can find.Bustopher/Asparagus/Growltiger all those characters being played by Stephen Hanan is the GREATEST you can find.He gives a crisp interpretation.Demeter could have been better. Also this recording has a great Mr.Mistoffelees sounding Caberatish(excuse the spelling).I also like the sound COMPLETE in it.Over all this recording sounds THE BEST AND IS THE BEST!Well see you at the Jellicle Ball!

Also Recommended:Les Miserables(Concert version),Jesus Christ Superstar(Australia version),The Phantom of the Opera(London Cast),Sunset Boulevard(American version),and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat(Canidian version).

Free Music Review: THE BEST MUSICAL EVER WRITTEN!!!
Hit: 5 Stars

CATS is an awesome musical; a lot better than most people realize! It's very upbeat and fun. My favorite songs are The Overture, Prologue: Jellicle Songs for Jellicle Cats, The Invitation to the Jellicle Ball, The Rum Tum Tugger, Bustopher Jones, Mungojerrie and Rumplteazer, Old Deuteronomy, Skimbleshanks: The Railway Cat, Macavity: The Mystery Cat, Mr. Mistoffelees, Memory, and The Journey to the Heaviside Layer.

A lot of the people who don't like this musical is because they don't understand it (they're looking for a non-existent plot). But the thing is is that to understand CATS you have to let go of all reality for two hours and just enjoy the music and the show. The musical is actually about the naming of Jellicle cats and the choosing of what cat will journey to the Heaviside layer (heaven) and will cone back to a new Jellicle life. I definately recommend this CD!! Enjoy!
