Free Music Notes for Cecilia Bartoli - If You Love Me (Se tu m'ami ), 18th-Century Italian SongsFree Music Review: Italian songs sung by the young, fresh Cecilia Bartoli Hit: 5 StarsCecilia Bartoli, now is one of the greatest Mezzo Sopranos, sings well these Italian Songs. Her voice isn't loudly, but she can express the feelings in them easily. (Jennifer Larmore has neither the skill nor charms.) Her young, fresh voice is suited well for these Italian songs. Cecilia Bartoli is a good singer in our time. I hope she continue to record wonderful songs we haven't heard. I'm your fan, Cecilia!
Free Music Review: Opinioni Hit: 5 StarsFor me, this recording was a true gift. Through the intensity of Cecilia's voice and tone, I was given a furtheur glimpse towards the tremendous beauty created through the mastery of the great baroque composers on this disc.Through this period arose the most sublime of arie for the voice, as it was the period when vocal techniqe found its most lofty of achievements, and the highest degree of skill imaginable, creating the study of the voice as a true art, and giving us the gift of the greatest singers to have truly soared in that art, the great Italian castrati. Although we have yet to rediscover such technique and skill, and beauty created through the perfected voice, Ms.Cecilia Bartoli brought us furthur to great vocalization, and that most sublime of accomplishments, and source, of true pleasure. To Cecilia, and the great composers of this recording: Bravissimi!!
Free Music Review: An excellent buy for anyone studying voice! Hit: 4 StarsI thoroughly enjoyed this album, specifically because Ms. Bartoli performs songs familiar to anyone who has studied voice. Her renditions of the classic pieces many take for granted are breath taking. Although Ms. Bartoli is admittedly dark in her lower register, I did not consider this a negative quality in this collection, particularily because every phrase she sings (even those that are repeated as in Gia Il Sole Dal Gange) is unique and endearing. I'd certainly recommend this cd to sopranos!
Free Music Review: Bartoli excells herself in this recording Hit: 5 StarsI've just fallen in love with a soprano, my next gift to her is going to be this cd. I've just ordered it here. These songs really excell in there intensity, the beautifull way Bartoli sings them and perfect interaction between the romantic piano and her voice.
Free Music Review: Simple songs beautifully sung... Hit: 4 StarsCecelia's voice is so rich and lovely. Her interpretation of these standard art songs all but vibrates with enthusiasm and emotion. As an amateur singer, I'm thrilled that a Diva such as Ms. Bartoli has recorded the same songs vocal students have sung for hundreds of years. Every beautiful note she sings seems to float out to the listener with natural ease. I highly recommend this recording to anyone, but especially to vocal students and newcomers to operatic music. These pieces are short with simple and lovely melodies.
