Free Music Review: A New Celine Has Come
Hit: 5 Stars

Celine, the name of one of the most recognized diva in the music business today. After waiting for 2 years, finally she comes back in her top form with this brand new studio album `A New Day Has Come'. Let's review the tracks in the album:

1)I'm Alive - an up tempo track with positive message. This song also proves that Celine is back with staying power. 7.5/10

2)Right In Front Of You - another upbeat track with more poppy influence and this song is really catchy. It is kind of like Backstreet Boy-ish pop song. 6.5/10

3)Have You Ever Been In Love - after the first 2 up tempo tracks, there it comes Celine's typical remarkable ballad. It starts with Celine's soothing vocal in lower range and then her vocal soars. 8/10

4)Rain, Tax(It's Inevitable) - the first time I listen to this song, the beat seems familiar to me. But after a few time listening to it, I find that the beat is very Destiny's Child-ish, an up tempo R & B track - 6/10

5)A New Day Has Come (Radio Edit) - the first single in the album. It is very catchy and the lyric is so meaningful and positive. This is a more upbeat version. 8.5/10

6)Ten Days - it seems like a country-pop song to me instead of rock. It has some similarities with Faith Hill's `The Way You Love Me', especially the beat. 7/10

7)Goodbye's (The Saddest Word) - it talks about how reluctant and painful a daughter says goodbye to her mother. Celine sings this song with passion that touches hearts. It is one of the powerful and touching ballads in the album. 9/10

8)Prayer - don't misunderstand, this is not the song which she sings duet with Andrea Bocelli. The track itself is so beautiful and with Celine's angelic vocal, the track becomes a spark immediately. Once again, Celine proves how well she can handle ballads with her power house pipe, especially the powerful and touching ballads. 9.5/10

9)I Surrender - after 2 previous powerful ballads, this track is the most powerful ballads of all in the album. Her power house pipe shines immediately when she starts to sing it. The sentence `I surrender......' she manages to hold the high notes by not screaming out like some of the so-call-divas out there. 8.5/10

10)At Last - wow, Celine can sing jazz too. Her powerful and yet soothing vocal definitely suits songs like this. A new good trial. I have listened both Celine's and Christina's version but I still prefer Celine's version as it is more soothing and relaxing. 7.5/10

11)Superlove - well, I don't really like this song because this song suits the bubble gum princess like Britney or Jenny from the block, not Celine. However, the beat is not bad though. 2/10

12)Sorry For Love - second surprise after At Last, Celine + Cher's techno = Sorry For Love. This is definitely a cool track that easily captures hearts. Obviously, Celine is trying to vary her music genre. Once again, she can handle dance song well. The best part is she manages to hold a high note for such long time, incredible!! 8.5/10

13)Aun Existe Amor - a Spanish track. Even though I don't have any idea what is she singing, but I can tell that she sings it beautifully and the song is really beautiful. 8/10

14)The Greatest Reward - I cannot deny this is a nice ballad, but it is a bit too cheesy to me. Usually I don't pay much attention to this though I don't skip it. 7/10

15)When The Wrong One Loves You Right - another catchy poppy song with cool beat. It is another Backstreet Boy-ish pop song. 6.5/10

16)A New Day Has Come - another huge surprise. Ever thought of Celine + Enya-ish new age = A New Day Has Come (album version)?? At the chorus of the beginning part of the song, I thought that why is there an Enya track in Celine's album? The layer vocal at the chorus is so well arranged and it showcases Celine's talent more and more at this point. The track is amazingly harmony, soothing and relaxing. The radio edit version is a cool pop song with uplifting message, but this version is an inspirational new age ballad. Celine sings it with so much passion. She sings it into my heart and touches my soul. The chorus at the ending part which the heavier beat comes in gives me an impression that it symbolizes the Sun (our hope) has come. It completely matches the title. 10/10

17)Nature Boy - a bluesy track. There are people say that David Bowie's version is still the best, but in my opinion, Celine's version is better because it has more passion with her soothing and crystal clear vocal singing it and it outshines David's version. 8.5/10

Overall, this is the best album after her best selling album around the world `Falling Into You'. However, `A New Day Has Come' still remains the best with variety of music genre and has less cheesy tracks compare to `Falling Into You' such as `Dreaming Of You' and `I Love You'. So, don't miss this album if you haven't got one.

Free Music Review: A new day has come for Celine and her music!
Hit: 5 Stars

O0kay! Actually I bought the non-american version of the album, which includes a bonus track: SUPERLOVE. I think this is one of Céline best albums to date! From jazz, to pop, to rock, to techno dance, to R&B, to a spanish ballad... Everything you need from Céline you'll find it on this album. A MUST!
I'll review song by song:

1) I'm Alive: 95/100 - You may have heard it! Its her new single, a great upbeat song with a catchy melody, light and positive!

2) Right In Front Of You: 85/100 - Yes, a pop song, nice melody and lyrics, but TOO COMERCIAL to me! It would make a great single!

3) Have You Ever Been In Love: 85/100 - A nice ballad, very celinish! for her long-time fans!

4) Rain, Tax (Its Inevitable): 90/100 - Wow! This is Céline trying a new Techno R&B style, and it fits her wonderfully! Just try this one!

5) A New Day Has Come (Radio Remix): 98/100 - I'm pretty sure everyone has heard this song! Its a touching pop-like song - I just adore it! And her lyrics and melody are so amazing!

6)Ten Days: 93/100 : Yeah! Céline the rocker has come! This is Céline's first try with an english "rocky" song. She has already tried it in french, but this one is a great song, another "possible" single! Listen to it!

7)Goodbye's (The Saddest Word): 96/100: Ok, this is (as the title says) the saddest song on the album. A very powerful ballad written by Mutt Lange, with SHANIA TWAING singing backvocals, and it talks about a mother's love for her child, and the day our mother will leave us. moving...

8) Prayer: 90/100: This one is one of my favourites, the sweetest song on the album. Its a ballad and it kinda' talks about children and nature, like poetry!

9) I Surrender: 100/100 : OMG! For the ones who were waiting for a strong ballad, here its your turn! Wow, one of the best songs on the album (if not the best), Céline shows all her vocal ability holding notes and with an incredible bridge. A MUST!

10) At Last: 70/100 : MMM, its a cover ... an old song, Céline performance is very good, but the song is old-fashoned

11) Superlove: 100/100 Yes, Céline proving she can R&b the world! LOL. I love this song, its something totally different from what Céline has been doing during her career... Its a mmmm Britney-like song... well, you should see by your own!

12) Sorry For Love: 98/100 Is it Cher or Céline? Yes! for those who have heard Cher's song BELIEVE you know what i am talking about. Wanna listen to Céline Dion with all those "techno" effects? Listen to this song and watch too Céline holding a 16 seconds high note! A-M-A-Z-I-N-G

13) Aún Existe Amor: 95/100 This is a cover from her french song L'AMOUR EXISTE ENCORE. But she performs it beautifully, and IN SPANISH! It has new arrangements , and it has become for me one of my favourites, a very beautiful ballad

14) The Greatest Reward: 80/100 : A nice ballad. Too catchy for me, but it still makes a great song for some people!

15) When The Wrong One Loves You Right: 90/100 Another perfect example of Céline "pop" ability. Its a "Backstreet-boys"-like song with a very catchy melody and great choruses... She also hits very high notes at the end

16) A New day has come: 100/100 This is the album version of the song... Its a very nice ballad.. where Céline sounds almost like Enya. Its new for her, but still great!

17) Nature Boy: 65/100 Probably the worst song on the album. I must admit its a nice song, and a classic too. But it just doesn't fit Céline, and this version is TOO slow!

I MUST SAY ITS AN AMAZING ALBUM! I THINK EVERYONE WHO LIKES CELINE MUST OWN IT! Give it a try buddy! :) You won't regret!

Free Music Review: Great, but like any wonderful album, it does have its flaws
Hit: 5 Stars

This album is by far the best recording by Celine so far into her carreer. However, there are a few songs on here which have some small problems with them, in my opinion anyways, that should have been fixed before being released.

This cd starts with a bang, the opening is a great upbeat tune "I'm Alive", great song all around. This song is great, not very much like anything else shes ever done before, so its quite unique, nothing to complain about here. (10 out of 10)

This is the first ballad on the cd, its called "Right In Front Of You", its a great song, beautiful, another nothing to complain about, it reminds me of something off of the cd "In Blue" by the Corrs. A ballad with a very different feel to it, also unique. (10 out of 10)

"Have You Ever Been In Love" Nothing too spectacular here, sounds like some kind of male R&B song, and I just really don't like male R&B, so this one just doesn't belong on the cd in my opinion. (4 out of 10)-for effort

"Rain, Tax (It's Inevitable)", a good song, upbeat and fun. In another review someone said Celine always has a quirky song on the album, well this is the quirky song for this album, as was "Refuse to Dance" on Colour of my Love, "River Deep, Mountain High" on Falling into you, and "Treat Her Like a Lady" on Lets talk about Love. Fun song (9 out of 10)

"A New Day Has Come (Radio Remix)" Its a good song, but shouldn't have been the first single in my opinion, there is much better material on the album. I would say it would work for a second or third single, but I think the first single should have been more explosive. Maybe this was released first to save the best for last. (8 out of 10)

"Ten Days", one of the few mistakes on the album, awful (1 out of 10)

"Goodbye's (The Saddest Word)" This one is very emotional and touching, I really like this one a lot, its got a wonderful melody, kind of has an almost country feel to it, probably because it was written by Shaniah Twain's husband, and has backing vocals by Shaniah in it. Its a great song (10 out of 10)

"Prayer" I never pay too much attention to this song (8 out of 10)

"I Surrender" WHOA, POWER BALLAD ALL THE WAY, GREAT SONG, HITS YOU HARD, EXPERIENCE IT FOR YOURSELF, MY WORDS CAN'T DESCRIBE THE TRIP THIS SONG TAKES YOU ON. (10 out of 10)

"At Last" Beautiful remake of this already beautiful song to begin with. (10 out of 10)

"Sorry for Love" This here is my ALL TIME favorite Celine song now, its a huge club/dance song, its great, if you like eurodance, chances are you'll like this one, I think it should be the next single, I wish she'd do more songs like this, her voice goes good with this kind of music. (10 out of 10)

"Aun Existe Amor" the other mistake on the album, I don't like the spanish language to begin with, not to mention this song, I really think this shouldn't have been on the album, the album should've had "Superlove" from the Euro edition on it instead, now thats a good song. (1 out of 10)

"The Greatest Reward" good song (7 out of 10)

"When The Wrong One Loves You Right" Fun Dancy song, its not eurodance, though I wish it were, but its still really good. When Max Martin worked with Celine on the All the way album, he brought really good things to her style, her music in this song and on the whole album seems much more younger, yet, its not immature, its a great song (10 out of 10)

"A New Day Has Come" This is the original version, not as good as the radio remix, I don't even know why this song is on the album, I would say it should be on a commercial single for "A New Day Has Come" (7 out of 10)

"Nature Boy", don't really care much for this one, but its better than some of the songs on the album, AHEM Ten Days. (6 out of 10)

Free Music Review: Simply Amazing
Hit: 5 Stars

I'm a HUGE Celine Dion fan and own exactly 30 of her albums. That's not counting singles so I can defibnately compare this album to her other work. Every song is heart felt and moving, and almost every song has a totally different feel from the other. The track listing is as follows.

1. I'm Alive-This song has a very fun sound to it, and is featured in the movie "Stuart Little 2". It has an upbeat tempo, and is a great opening.

2. Right In Front Of You-The versus start out very mellow and smooth, then suddenly brakes out into an upbeat chorus that has a very catchy melody. My friend had it stuck in her head for days.

3. Have You Ever Been In Love-This is the first official signature Celine ballad on the CD. I wouldn't call it a power ballad, and it took me awhile to warm up to this song. It's the lyrics that got me. In this song she sings notes that are incredibly low for a woman, and it isn't even a strain for her.

4. Rain, Tax (It's Inevitable)-Celine has never recorded a song like this before, so it's one more thing to add to her repitoir. This has a Destiny;s Child sound to it, and is great to do a hip-hop dance to.

5. A New Day Has Come-This song is so amazing. It's a radio-edit version and is more upbeat than the other one. It flows very nicely with a powerful melody, and powerful lyrics.

6. Ten Days-This is a remake of the French song Tomber which she did not record. It sounds a lot like a Sheryl Crow song so if you're a fan of hers you'll like this album.

7. Goodbye's The Saddest Word-By far the best track on the album. It starts out very soft, and at the end breaks out into a power ballad. The melody will give you chills, and the lyrics will bring a tear to your eye.

8. Prayer-The versus have an eerie touch to them, and the chorus has a nice flowing melody to it. The ending is so incredibly powerful, and the song has a nice message.

9. I Surrender-This song is powerful and shows Celine's full vocal abilities. Kelly Clarkson sang this on American Idol and she lost her voice. It's simply amazing.

10. At Last-A remake of the Etta James song. It definately sounds like it was written in the 60s or 50s or whatever, and Celine sounds magfinicent singing it.

11. Sorry For Love-Wow! What can I say? This song is so upbeat and so amazing. At one point in the song she belts out a high A in chest voice, then holds a really high notes for a long time after that. For you non music study people, lol, a high A is a really high note.

12. Aun Existe Amor-This is the Spanish version of L'amour Existe Encore which Celine recorded in 1991 in French. I'm not crazy about the whole latin sounds and there is some latin instruments in here, but Celine still sounds great.

13. The Greatest Reward-This amazing song is a remake of the French song "L'Envie D'aimer" featured in the play "Les Dix Commandements". The lyrics are powerful, the music is simply breath taking. One of the best tracks on the CD.

14. When The Wrong One Loves You Right-This sounds like an N Sync song sung with talent. She shows once again that she is totally capable of singing any type of song. This one will have you on your deet.

15. A New Day Has Come-The album version of this song. It's very slow, and I prefer the radio-edit. Still, this tempo makes the song slightly more powerful, and is still totally worth listening to.

16. Nature Boy-A remake of Nat King Cole's 1940s version. I'm not crazy about the song, but Celine's performence is simply breath taking and is very pleasant to listen to.

Free Music Review: A-mazing!
Hit: 5 Stars

Oh boy... I thought the time would never come til the day I could review this CD. It's actually exactly what I wanted to hear. "A new day has come" has to be Celine's best English album since the start. Every song gets better than the next. Wow, what 2 years of break can do for you!

The cd is totally worth the money, and the songs are as beautiful as the album title. I am so happy to find that Celine's voice hasn't changed, but only got better. That goes for all her songs. There isn't a bad song on this cd.
Wow, the pictures are beautiful too! The lovely centefold of photos inside are a nice touch to the otherwise, simple interior pages of the liner notes booklet. Thanks Celine, for including the lyrics too. It's nice to read/sing along to the songs.
We are treated to a couple of songs which take on a different feeling altogether. Those songs are: "Nature Boy" and "At Last".
Firstly, Nature Boy has a bluesy, jazzy sound to it. It shows us that Celine is very versatile. At Last has a country, Patsy Cline twang to it. This song is a cover tune, but I am not sure if it was actually Patsy Cline who sang it. Whoever it belonged to originally, it's a beautiful song nevertheless.

The title track is pretty, in both radio remix and Original version. The song haunts me, and is a bit of a tear-jerker. I think the cd is based on the love Celine has for her Pride & Joy.

Who ever thought that Celine would put a Cher-type of song on such an album? And it's great. This song is called "Sorry for Love". It has a tiny bit of the "electric Diva" thing going on with the slight distortion of her voice, but what a catchy tune. Lots of keyboard riffs and an amazing vocal improvision after the 2nd half of the song. People, we have a new Club Floor Hit on our hands. Watch out if this baby doesn't take over the dance floor pretty soon. Good job, Celine.

Track # 12, "Aun Existe Amor" is the Spanish version of Celine's French-language hit, "L'amour Existe Encore" ( Love still exists). I think it's pretty no matter what tongue it's sung in.
The tune and emotion Celine puts into the song is enough to appreicate music like this.

I actually had to wipe my eyes while listening to "The greatest reward". This song is a real tear-jerker. I don't think there'll be dry eye in the house when she performs this one live.

Wanna know what's really nice, as a little add in to the package?
Inside the jewel case, there is a little Xtra booklet which shows the picture of all 15 cds in the Celine Dion discography.
# 16 is, of course, this cd. You can laminate this little flyer double-sided, and put it on your wall. I don't think it was intended as a piece of artwork, but it will be soon!

Before I forget, here is the tracklist.

1- I'm Alive 2-Right in front of you 3-Have you ever been in love 4-Rain, Tax (it's inevitable) 5-A New Day Has Come (radio remix) 6-Ten days 7-Goodbye's (the saddest word) 8-Prayer

9-I Surrender 10-At Last 11-Sorry for love 12-Aun Existe Encore 13-The greatest reward 14-When the wrong one loves you right 15-A new day has come 16-Nature Boy

Like I said in the title, A-mazing! What a perfect continuation to my Celine Dion collection. It will stand out among the others for quite some time. Go buy it and see for yourself.

Hope my review has helped you.
