Free Music Review: Awesome album, Awesome singer!!
Hit: 5 Stars

A new day has come, is an awesome album by an awesome singer!
Here are my opinions on all of the songs! ;-)

1.) I'm Alive - A very good song, makes you want to get up
and dance to it! As you know it's played on Stuart Little 2
movie. A favorite of mine!

2.) Right in front of you - A good song but also very poppish type too!

3.) Have you ever been in love - Great ballad song! And as heard on the Chrysler commercials, too!

4.) Rain, Tax - I didn't care for this song very much. Not that good!

5.) A new day has come (radio remix) - I love this radio remix of the song, but I love the album version more.

6.) Ten days - Good, but not great.

7.) Goodbye's (The saddest word) - The first time I heard this song, I almost cried! Wonderful song!

8.) Prayer - Great!

9.) I surrender - One of my favorites!

10.) At last - yet another favorite, great ballad Celine!

11.) Sorry for love - A dance song that sounds something like Cher would sing but still great song!

12.) Aun existe amor - The Spanish version of "L'amour Existe Encore." I love both versions!

13.) The greatest reward - I love this song alot! My fave again!

14.) When the wrong one loves you right - Another fave, haha too many faves on this album! This is a good song but it's too bad the Destiny's Child couldn't be on the CD, like they did on the concert.

15.) A new day has come - The album version, I like this version abit more than the radio remix version. Both are great though!

16.) Nature boy - I like this song, good but not great.

Well as you can tell by my opinions on this CD, that this CD is 100% great and is totally worth buying! Even if you're not a Celine fan, you'll still love this CD! Whoever doesn't have this CD yet, please do go out there and buy it, like I said it's worth buying!

Free Music Review: Celine's Strong Return
Hit: 5 Stars

Celine releases her much-anticipated album with a catchy single and a fresh look. Celine doesn't seem to have lost much from her hiatus, and this disc is jammed with could-be hit singles. From "I'm Alive," the fresh, whimsical opening track to "Sorry for Love," a song that seems to have been recorded for the sole reason that Celine could enter the "hip" generation by invading dance clubs, many radio-worthy tunes inhabit this disc.
I was disappointed to hear how many backing vocals are prominent in each song. This is a departure for Celine, whose incredible vocals have always been her trademark. (Think "Power of Love" where no other voice is to be heard besides Celine's) By far my favorite track is "Right in Front of You," a catchy, hopeful song about love. "Goodbye's (The Saddest Word)" is another collaboraion between her and Mutt Lange ("If Walls Could Talk" from "All the Way"). Though depressing, the song is lovely and is a highlight. "When the Wrong one Loves You Right" as well as "Ten Days" and "Rain, Tax (it's Inevitable)" are enjoyable faster songs that bury some of her vocal range.
I honestly cannot pick a standout ballad. I am dissappointed that the songs rely so heavily on the background vocals, and the lack of outstanding vocal work I expect from Celine dissappoints me as well. I can't help but wonder if she has lost some of her voice, but even with those thoughts, the CD is great, and went beyond my expectations. I add it to my Celine collection with much anticipation fulfilled and it recieves one of my highest recommendations. Put it on for a party, a quiet evening at home, or while you simply relax. Definitely add this one to your collection.

Free Music Review: polished to a brilliant shine
Hit: 5 Stars

Though this is far from my usual listening fare, I thoroughly enjoy it; the superb arrangements, the fine material, Celine's outstanding phrasing, and the many colorations of her sound. This is truly an exceptional female pop vocal performance.
Surprisingly, the songs have been recorded in various places, with more than a single arranger, but the CD has a cohesiveness not usual for a production with so many different sources. The songs have a variety of moods, but she really shines in the slower ballads, especially when she sings in a lovely sweet pianissimo, like in the final section of "Prayer". A track I find very moving is "Goodbye's (the Saddest Word)" about the love between a mother and daughter.

The highlights for me are two classics: A favorite from my childhood, Eden Ahbez's "Nature Boy", which originally was sung by Nat King Cole in the 1948 film "The Boy with Green Hair", has a simple solo piano accompaniment by Jorge Calandrelli, and a vocal rendering that is exquisite perfection. The second is the Gordon/Warren "At Last", from the 1942 "Orchestra Wives", originally performed by Glenn Miller, and which later became a huge hit for Etta James. This is also outstanding, and it is wonderful to hear these gorgeous songs kept alive by a modern-day diva.

Celine's technical abilities and vocal range are a marvel, and another quality I appreciate is her enunciation. I can understand what she is saying, something I am not always able to do these days with other artists. The booklet insert has lyrics and complete recording information, a charming foldout central collage of family photos, and with 16 songs, you get quantity as well as quality; total time is: 68'07.

Free Music Review: The Flower Inside Celine Dion's A New Day Has Come
Hit: 5 Stars

I found this 16 track CD very stress-relieving and peaceful. Many classmates in my school view me differently just because I like this woman's voice. I'll tell you my story about how I liked Celine Dion:

Well, when I was young, at year 2002-2003, I heard this song called A New Day Has Come (Track 5) and wondered who was it sung by. As years passed by, I started to worry about this song and start to love it more, because of how the melody and harmony blend with the flats and sharps. As years go by, the song became more unpopular. But the only thing I remember from the whole song is this: "Let the rain come down and wash away my tears". So one day, I typed that out in Google and found Celine Dion. The first time I heard of her is the Titanic theme song. So now Celine Dion is currently my favorite artist. Then couple weeks ago, I bought this CD and found out another A New Day Has Come (Track 15). Then I listened to it...

After listening to this track, I felt like I change into a person who is very depressed and sad. If she has a music video of Track 15, I bet that Celine Dion will act very sad and lonely. Now I think this song is the best song in the CD. My sisters and my parents hate this song. My friends also hates this song. Now I feel left out, and currently am. I'm also a Chinese male teen too, and most people thinks that I listen to either Chinese music or, rap. I hate both of them.

Now why do I compare this CD to a flower is because it gave me an opportunity to open up ideas I never had. Now the other songs in this CD are also great songs. The lyrics to A New Day Has Come all applies to my current feelings. I believe that Celine Dion is one perfect angel of music.

Free Music Review: A New Celine
Hit: 5 Stars

Celine Dion is back once again with a new album, and to some it might seem like she never went away. Back in 1999 she vowed to bow out of the public eye to start a family, and it seemed like we would not hear from her in a while. This album slipped in like a quiet storm. The first single "A New Day Has Come" is a beautiful declaration of freedom. It appears in both a remixed version (which you hear on radio) and the original album version which is a more ballad like song with a more simple element to the song. The album opens with the liberating I'm Alive. Right In Front of You is a sure fire hit if released as a single, a song about finding love that was there all along, very catchy song and Celine sounds just wonderful on this song. The uptempo song When The Wrong One Loves You Right is brilliant, definately a potential single, probably the catchiest song on here, it will stay in your head all day and have you singing along. With every Celine release come some beautiful, compelling ballads which are incomparable. How about the mother-daughter ballad Goodbye (The Saddest Word). Other excellent ballads include Have You Ever Been In Love, Prayer, I Surrender, The Greatest Reward, and more. Celine also covers two classics, Nature Boy and At Last, and does them justice. Songs like I'm Alive, Rain Tax (Its Inevitable), Sorry For Love, and When The Wrong One Loves You Right shows Celine moving the boundaries in her career and experimenting with new sounds that were once before foreign to her. A NEW DAY HAS COME is like a revival, and a liberating experience. Celine is back, she has learned so much in her time away, and she has never sounded better.
