Free Music Notes for Colour of My LoveFree Music Review: Paint Her In Many Colors Hit: 5 Stars
"The Colour of My Love" by Celine Dion features a handful of highlights amid 14 (or 15) tracks that are always fun to listen to and difficult to turn off.
Standouts on the album are "The Power of Love" which became Dion's first #1 smash in the US, "Think Twice," which went to #1 in the UK, "Only One Road", "Real Emotion", "Love Doesn't Ask Why," the icy, eclectic "Refuse to Dance," the gorgeous, evocative "I Remember LA" and "Lovin' Proof."
This CD proved Dion is highly skilled at both sentimental ballads and hot dance tracks.
The only song that does not quite gell is "Next Plane Out," which even the most romantic among us would be likely to say is far too mushy, and it gets a little off track when she says "next train" all of a sudden amid the "next plane" repetitions. Is it a plane or is it a train, Celine?
One major downside to the US printing leaves out one of the other standouts, "Just Walk Away" an stark, stirring ballad, which is available in almost every other country. It is worth ordering as an import in order to get the album with it included.
Free Music Review: My favorite album... Hit: 5 Stars
This is the album that I can best relate to. Some people hate the beats, are upset that she didn't write the music...upset that she "screams" etc...Well...I'm a huge fan of Celine because she has touched my life. When she sings a song, she sings it full of emotion. When I hear her songs, I think..."That's me!! That's exactly what I feel like!!" And she doesn't just "sing." She experiences it. It's her 3rd English album...and it's truly great. Unison was pretty good, and so was her self-titled album. I haven't yet found an album that I hated... My favorite songs on this album are: The Power of Love, Misled, Everybody's Talkin' My Baby Down, Next Plane Out, Love Doesn't Ask Why, I Remember L.A., No Living Without Loving You, and of course, The Colour of My Love. There are some songs I don't like at first, like The Colour of My Love. I don't know, something isn't there. Then I read the lyrics, and it's like Oh..wow...that's so moving, so powerful..and it becomes my favorite. When I realize the powerful emotion behind it....it makes me cry...
Free Music Review: Perfect album from Celine! Hit: 5 Stars
I totally lurve this album from Mrs.Dion! I have all of her english albums now except These are the special times, but I'm working on that one (hehe). In my opinion the best albums out of all of them are; The colour of my love, Let's Talk About Love, Falling Into You, Unison and A new day has come. Well heck, they all are her best albums ever made!! The song "The Colour Of my love" was played at Céline's wedding while she was walking down the aisle (I read this on a Céline fan website) and in this album she tells René that he's the colour of her love. They then got married in the year of 1994, after The Colour Of My Love was released! And I think some of the very best songs are: The Power Of Love, Misled, Think Twice, Everybody's Talkin' My Baby Down, Next Plane Out, I remember L.A., and The Colour Of My Love *Of course*! My Aunt Audrey even has this album and she lurves it too!! And I highly reccomend that you B-U-Y this album today if you don't already have it. It is all about love and is the best love album!
Free Music Review: "Celine Dion At Her Peak" Hit: 5 Stars
What makes Celine Dion's CD "The Color of My Love" so unique is the fact that it solidified her as a pop superstar. Having released two previous english albums that sold very well, Dion released this gem in 1993 to both critical and commercial acclaim. The album sold six million copies alone in the United States eventually selling 20 million copies worldwide making Celine a household name. The disc features three #1 songs, "The Power of My Love", "Think Twice", and "To Love You More", as well as the theme to the Meg Ryan film "Sleepless In Seattle", "When I Fall In Love". Dion's vocals are at their zenith and the song selection is impeccable, ranging from pure vocal tracks to upbeat dance numbers that will walk on your mind after listening to them. My favorite songs on the album are the Diane Warren penned "Next Plane Out", as well as the beautiful "I Remember L.A.". Pop this jewel into your CD and see how a pop Diva is suppose to sound. Remarkably, the album has not aged at all and its sound is very much of today.
Free Music Review: incredible album Hit: 5 Stars
This and Falling into You are the best Celine Dion albums in my opinion. After watching her "A Decade of Song" concert on TV last night, I spent most of this afternoon listening to her last three studio albums back-to-back. I must admit "The Colour of my Love" has lost none of its power to move a listener. All, I repeat, ALL of the power ballads on this album are of classic status and they all could be released as singles and easily top the charts. "Just Walk Away", "Only One Road" , "Next Plane Out" and "Think Twice" are absolutely incredible pieces of music. Listen to them in succession and I guarantee you will have a lump in your throat, if not tears in your eyes. These four songs alone are enough reason for any lover of popular music to buy this album and it includes many more beautifully-produced, written and performed songs such as "The Power of Love", "Love Doesn't Ask Why" and "Refuse To Dance". Stunning!
