At first hearing this album, I was a little bit unconvinced. But the more I hear it, it has grown on me. Celine's voice is unsurpassed and she really put her heart and soul in this album.
It is a flurry of musical styles and it really is a good album. Sure, I miss her AC style, but here she keeps the beauty in the styling of songs. Every song is worth listening to and each has potential to be released as a single. I think it is better than some of the stuff being released now.
Highlights are Fade Away, Alone, A World to Believe In.

Celine doesn't disappoint with this album. There are a lot of new sounds that we haven't heard from her before. The haunting vocals and instruments in her rendition of Alone are not to be missed. Definitely my favorite. There were a few tracks I didn't care for, (New Dawn, That's Just the Woman in Me, I Got Nothin' Left), but they're not bad. I just liked the others a lot more. If you're a Celine fan, this is a terrific addition. If you're not a Celine fan, there still might be something in this for you. Give it a try.Free Music Review: Great CD

I was so lucky to see Celine Dion in her show in Las Vegas last year for her birthday. SHe's my favorite artist by far and with this album, Taking Chances, it was the same. I received it for my birthday this year and it is awesome. Though it's not my favorite CD of hers, she breaks out into different types of songs and away from the "typical" Celine. I would reccommend this CD to anyone who enjoys her music. You might be surprised by the vast difference from this CD to her others, like A New Day. I am tired of those who say she should do this or that. Try walking in an artist' shoes and see how you adapt to it. I think Celine has done a superb job. NOt many artist have musicians/producers come to them to produce an album. this is what the new queen of LasVegas did for this album. Produced in the Palms studio in LasVegas and many producers/musicians traveled from around the world just to produce the songs you hear. Great job Celine. You will always have a # 1 fan in me! Kudos to all producers/musicians/songwriters.
