Nearly every successful artist has recorded a Christmas album, but few can stand up to Celine Dion's "These Are Special Times". Filled with beautifully-performed tracks, this record will be forever remembered as a timeless classic.Opening up with the cathartic hymn, 'O Holy Night', Dion uses her strong vocal chords to send the sacred piece into the heavens, then gently brings it back to earth. 'Ave Maria' is beautifully enhanced by her tender vocals, adding an unusual touch to this Christmas compilation.

Blessed with one of the most beautiful voices in music, a Christmas album from Celine Dion sounds like a great idea. And "These Are Special Times" delivers. The strongest cuts on this album includes her renditions of Christmas classics like "O Holy Night", "Ave Maria", "O Come All Ye Faithful", "The Christmas Song" and "Happy Christmas". Quite frankly, I've never heard them sung more beautifully. But, interestingly enough, some of the other "Holiday-themed" songs are just as memorable. "The Prayer" with Andrea Bocelli is breathtakingly beautiful - one of her best songs ever. The understated "Another Year Has Gone By" and the power duet "I'm Your Angel" (with R. Kelly) are also incredible. And unlike Miriah Carey's mediocre Christmas album, Celine's "These Are Special Times" is something you'd want to hear all year round - not just around the Holidays. I'm sure that this album will be a huge Holiday seller for many years to come. If you only have one Christmas album, make sure it's this one.Free Music Review: Instant Christmas Classic

You will not find a better Christmas album in your lifetime than "These Are Special Times." It's just not possible. Celine takes a classic song like "O Holy Night" and makes it her own. You may have heard the song a hundred times before but when you hear Celine sing it you'll say to yourself "Oh THAT's how it's supposed to sound!" Celine's voice and Christmas music is the perfect match. "The Magic of Christmas Day" and "Christmas Eve" are sure to become classics and be played 50 years from now. The thing I love about Celine's Christmas album is that she doesn't ruin ANY of the classic songs by adding notes where they're not supposed to be like Mariah or Christina does. She sings all the songs straight and the way they were meant to sound. The only thing I HATE about this album is that it's too short. There should be at least 30 more songs on this album because once you start listening you don't want to stop. The only other Christmas albums that are worthy to play along with this one is Barbra Streisand's, Bryan White's, Jewel's, and Elvis's.Free Music Review: This is a special gift for anyone who loves Celine

I recieved this early Christmas in December 2001, from mon maman's friend... (I'm trying to speak French, I'm still learning!). Anyways this Xmas album is wonderful, it's the best. If you buy it now, you'll cherish it for alife time!! I have to admit that comparing to other female pop singers, etc like britney spears (i hate her,lol), christina aguilera, mariah carey, lara fabian.... Celine is the number one singer out of all of them!!!!!!! Celine has a heaven sent voice unlike the other singers that I have mentioned, I don't like other singers, only Celine. (I like gospel music tho)!!!! But that's it. So now back to the album,:)!! This album starts off with O Holy Night, this song is beautiful. Then it ends with Les Cloches Du Hameau, Celine sings with her family at this song, very well made. My fav songs are another year has gone by, the title track, and i'm your angel!! Go out and but this album it's worth every red cent. Celine U R THE BEST SINGER IN THIS WHOLE INTIRE WORLD, YEH!
