I could not wait to buy this CD when it came out. Celine is such a charismatic singer that I did not need to hear if I liked it, I knew it was a winner. My son and I listened to this music all year long,as the true Spirit of Christmas should endure in the hearts of people. I do not have a CD player in my car so we were blessed with the tape version as well. There is not one song on this CD that is a disappointment, as Celine puts her whole heart and soul into every recording. It is our favorite Christmas CD. The CD is so perfectly balanced with gentleness to the robust and all of the in between. you really have it all on that album from simple melody to incredible power balads. Each songs are special in their way and there's no doubt that Celine is the biggest singer in the whole world when you listen to that cd.With falling into you and D'eux, this album is a real classic. Songs like Ave maria, another year as gone by and oh holy night are among the best of this album but there's plenty of others. You have to discover that christmas cd and you'll find after why Celine's voice is one of the most popular sound on earth. I asked my best friend for a CD this year--I knew Celine Dion had recorded one, but I didn't know what it was called. I just thought it would be nice to have. It came a little before Christmas, and I took it to work. I was drawn in immediately from the first strains of "O Holy Night." This was a phenomenal CD! I loved hearing her record with her family. I have always loved "The Prayer." "The Magic of Christmas Day" was by far my favorite. I plan to try to have my students perform that song next year if at all possible. I love many of Celine's other CD's, but this is tops as far as I am concerned. I suppose I am a sucker for a great Christmas CD!Free Music Review: Celine Did It Again

This CD by Celine, "These are Special Times", is simply wonderful and it takes me back to when Christmas time was the best time of the year. It was a time for family gatherings that were filled with love and togetherness - these were special times. Celine tells us about these times through her voice. .. Just listen to her sing, together with her family, and who can deny that large families are not special. .. This CD is great and i hope we all give ourselves a very special present this year, the CD, "These Are Special Times", performed beautifully by Celine, and listen to the lyrics in the songs that she sings, they are just wonderful!Free Music Review: No more

If I had to rank the best voices in female music today Celine Dion would have a permanant fixture at the top 10. But do we need three albums in four years? I'm a Dion fan, but I must say this latest album is merely carbon copies of the previous two. The great voice is unchanged, in fact I would say it is better than ever. But the songs are just the same pop music she's been putting out for four years. There is no growth.....how about trying something new? I have her last three albums, and the single "the power of love" from the first of those three albums will always be one of my favorites, but it takes more than that to keep your fans.
