Free Music Notes for Water Is WideFree Music Review: Beyond Delightful Hit: 5 Stars
Anyone who knows Orlagh Fallon principally as one of the lovely and talented soloists with the internationally-reknowned group Celtic Woman may fear that her musical offerings as an individual artist would be perhaps disappointing without the support of the often lavish production efforts of the group. In this, they would be wrong and will be delighted to be shown so after only a cursory listen to her in "The Water is Wide".
Her songs, accompanied by her harp playing, are soothing and charming beyond belief. There is additionally comfort in knowing that whatever the duration of time (and long may it be) she is with Celtic Woman, her worth and value as an individual artist are clearly demonstrated to the world through this release. She can therefore be a blessing to listeners as long as she chooses to be. I will eagerly anticipate her every release from now on.
Free Music Review: Enchanted Hit: 5 Stars
In all my 68 years I have never been so captivated by any one musician or group. I can not seem to get enough ! ! ! I am especially enchanted by Ms.Orla Fallon. Her personal beauty, the clear and perfect harp and her most wonderful voice have won my heart and soul. Then there is Ms. Naisbitt's outstanding performances. Absolutely and astoundingly the most energetic and captivating young lady I have ever heard or seen. The entire effort is beyond belief. I had the great pleasure to see them in person on tour here in Salt Lake City at the Ford Theater in May 2007. I wanted so much to get to meet them but they were scheduled in Denver the next day and had to leave immediately at the end of the performance. May God bless them all and keep them safe and able to continue in this wonderful tradition of Ireland. Darwin M Pope
Free Music Review: Orla for your Listening Enlightenment of Irish Melodies Hit: 5 Stars
All of the Celtic Woman group singers and performers are repeat worthy artists, and Orla is no exception. You will not want to play Orla just once and place it in a jumble of your cds lying in a pile. You will want to play Orla over and over and cherish that controlled, haunting, mystical way she has of presenting her material. She is a breath of Irish breeze blowing through our speakers and reaching into our souls, and yes, her voice grows on you til' you realize now this lady can put across a song! I recommend you do not overlook Orla in building your Celtic Woman collection because she has just as much to offer as the rest of them and she is joyous about sharing her gifts with us. If you have not purchased Orla's C D then now is the time to do it.I am a fan of CW-all of them including this classy Irish singer, Orla Fallon.
Free Music Review: Music for the Soul Hit: 5 Stars
This is the best, most emotion-provoking music I have heard in all my life. Cad e Sin Don te Sin and Siuil a Run give me goose bumps each time I hear them. I like some of most types of music and have heard music from most parts of the world and "The Water is Wide" touches my soul better than any I have heard. The harp tones and vocal tones are incredibly pure and clear. Most CDs have some recordings on them that are just what I call "fill-ins". On this one, every song is excellent and some are outstanding. I play this CD multiple times each day between my patients and when I am dictating as it is soothing and inspiring at the same time. This is music that makes you feel that there is still something pure and good in this crazy world. You can't help but like this it! Buy it!
Free Music Review: Orla's first solo CD Hit: 5 Stars
The Water Is Wide by Orla Fallon is thirty-seven minutes and seven seconds and was released on January 10, 2006. The Water Is Wide reached #9 on the Top World Album charts. Most if not all the music is song in Gaelic, the native language of Ireland. All the songs are traditional songs of Ireland; no original music. Orla has a very beautiful voice and plays the harp beautiful. This CD is great to unwind to. The Water Is Wide by Orla Fallon gets an AAA+++.
