Free Music Notes for Water Is Wide

Free Music Review: Wonderful!
Hit: 5 Stars

Celtic Woman is a musical ensemble comprised of five Irish and one New Zealander female artists - five vocalists (including Orla Fallon), and one violinist. This wonderful album is a collection of 11 tracks, all the work of the incomparable Orla Fallon. Orla has won the International Feis Ceoil and International Pan Celtic competitions twice, and this album shows off her ability at its best.

I like having nice music to listen to at work, and this album is one of my favorites. While working, I love the angelic sound of Orla's voice sweeping out of my speakers. Overall, I found this to be a great album, one that is always wonderful to listen to. I give it my highest recommendations!

Free Music Review: Heavenly
Hit: 5 Stars

I first encountered the enchanting Orla on the Celtic Woman DVD where along with Lisa and Meav she performed the finest rendiction of Orinoco Flow that I have ever heard. She is an accomplist vocalist who sings with an intensity and and honesty that is rare today. Orla puts puts her heart and soul into her music. Her Water is Wide CD is a masterpeice of traditional Celtic music. It touches the soul and inspires. Because of Orla and the other ladies of Celtic Woman I have been introduced to a beautiful genre of music. I do not expect to hear sweeter harp music this side of the Pearly Gates. If you love Celtic music then buy this CD you will not be disapppointed.

Free Music Review: Outstanding Traditional Irish Music
Hit: 5 Stars

Orlagh Fallon is a very talented young artist. She is an accomplished harpist and vocalist. Her CD "The Water is Wide" is a collection of traditional Irish tunes that will certainly send shivers through your body. Orlagh has a very soulful sound and it is very moving to hear her sing. This cd is an accoustical pleasure from beginning to end. Several of the songs are sung in Irish Gaelic, and the rest in english. I highly reccommend this cd to those that enjoy Irish music. I especially reccommend this cd to those that enjoy beautiful music, even if you're not familiar with the traditional Irish fare.

Free Music Review: Pure Orla
Hit: 5 Stars

A gentle, soothing album complete with Orla's nostalgic, sad voice and her faithful harp that was her trademark during her stint with Celtic Woman. Some of the songs may sound alike, but they are all beautiful and haunting. This is the real Orla, just her voice singing acapella with the harp and perhaps a few other instruments. This fits her perfectly, so much more than "Distant Shore" does. I would have liked to see her tackle a bit more of Clannad's sound like she did with "Harry's Game" and "Newgrange", but this album is definitely worth it.

Free Music Review: Celtic Woman Harpist Orla Cuts A Great Record
Hit: 5 Stars

Orla Fallon, the former vocalist/harpist for Celtic Woman shines in her own spotlight on this beautiful CD. Orla's delicate, sensitive voice creates an atmosphere thatmatches perfectly with the songs she sings and her wonderful harp playing.

Songs like "Carrickfergus," "Siúil A Rún," "Raglan Road," and "Down by the Sally Gardens" will do nothing but continue to endear those who were enchanted by her performances with Celtic Woman, and will also create new fans who enjoy Celtic music and talented performers.
