Orla's voice is heaven sent. As you listen to her music you are being sung to by an angel. Having seen her perform in Celtic Woman, she out of the all the others in my opinion reaches into your heart. This CD is a have must to any fan of Irish music!! Siuil A Run is my favorite song on here with a totally different arrangement than the one she performs live in Celtic Woman. However, both arrangements are marvelous. I loved Orla on the Celtic Woman programs on PBS. She seemed the most confident of the women. I recently saw their new special. I was sad to see that she and Meav are no longer a part of the ensemble.
This CD is very good and her voice is wonderful. I love the Celtic Woman ensemble, however when they spun off each singer's CDs I don't like that they selected many of the same songs. I ordered Lisa's CD at the same time that I ordered this one and there are 2 songs that are on both CDs.

The Water is Wide is a must have CD if you enjoy traditional Irish music.
Orlagh Fallon's voice is ethereal and haunting. Her renditions of "She Moved Through The Fair", "Carrickfergus", and "Down By The Sally Gardens" are simply beautiful. All the arrangements are simple and straightforward without a lot of orchestration. However, in the case of Orlagh Fallon, her voice and her harp accompaniment are all you will need. This CD is guaranteed to soothe you and leave you wanting more!

what i just said above is that me being a first generation american celt on my mom's side and then further back on my father's side both irish/scottish, i appreciate any celtic music particularly this singer and harp player. she's really one of the best singers to come onto the american scene in the past 10 years outside of what was already released in this country. bravo! keep up the excellent work orla as well as all other singers/musicians!

This cd is spectacular! Orla's voice is simply enchanting along with her beautiful harp playing. And I love how some songs are in gaelic and some in English; it's a nice mix. This cd takes you to another place and time. If you're a big fan of Loreena McKennit, Enya, or Meav ["Silver Sea" was awesome!] than you will fall in love with Orla's music! It's amazing that it took over a year after this cd was released to reach America, but thank God it's finally here!
