Free Music Review: I love Celtic Woman!

This is the cd to get! It has the four extra songs that the Celtic Woman perform in their new show and are not on their other cds for some reason. Their voices are simply angelic and with Maev leaving the show, perhaps the last time her voice will be heard under the Celtic Woman heading. As a performing group, Celtic Woman outdo any musical ensemble that is currently out there. They have everything down into detail, real close harmonies between the ladies, show stopping performances by their very sprightly fiddler, and just beautiful music as a whole. Anyone who likes Celtic music or is simply tired of the pop scene will absorb this compilation whole-heartedly. The little charm that comes with it makes the cd a nice gift for young girls as well.
It's simply perfect!

My father was a mason and a carpenter who spent a good portion of his life building homes in the village where he was born and in the neighboring villages. One evening, on his way back home, he heard singing voices of some women. To him - the songs and voices were angelic and never heard before. He decided to wait and see the approaching singers thinking that these singers might be equally angelic beautiful girls as their songs and voices were. To his great disappointment - he met a group of ugly, sweaty, old women going back to their homes from a work in fields. My father died twenty six years ago - but his expectation to see the girls of angelic beauty and voices would be met with the Celtic Woman - for sure.Free Music Review: Dancing in my chair.... :)

I have been waiting for this CD since I saw part of the PBS special from Slane Castle.
I find all the tracks on this CD to be wonderful. I do agree with some of the posters that the one "oddball" of "Sing Out" is a little jarring...but overall it's still worth 5 stars due to the quality of voices.
I am seriously in love with At The Celli and Spanish Lady...I think I made my car shake as I was sitting at a red light. The other major higlight is the first track "The Sky..."
If you have to make a choice between the "regular" vs "deluxe" go for the deluxe. I may still pick up the DVD...and I'm gonna hit the concert in April.

Free Music Review: CD GREAT, SHIPPING NIGHTMARE

This CD, as everyone has previously mentioned, is absolutely awesome. I purchased two of the 'deluxe' editions, one for myself and one for my mother's 91st birthday. The shipping, direct from [...], was a disaster. They will say shipping dates are 'estimated,' however, they went far beyond that. I got an email after two weeks saying they were having some kind of unspecified problem filling the order and then got the product about 10 days after that. Totally unacceptable. I've always had excellent service from Amazon sellers (aftermarket), but I will certainly discourage my friends from giving me Amazon gift certificates in the future, as they have done in the past. I am a big fan of Celtic Woman, and have been wanting this CD for quite some time. I had especially wanted "At the Ceili" and "Spanish Lady", two of the bonus songs. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the front insert had all of the words to all the songs. That may not be important to everyone, but it definitely matters to me. The charm is nice, and it comes with an explanation of the claddagh, but it's nothing impressive. If you want the extra songs, it's a great buy. If you don't care either way, get the regular CD - it much cheaper. For me, despite its being way more expensive than the basic A New Journey CD, I think it's worth it.
