I am a huge Chaka fan and have every CD she's ever made. 'Funk This' I must say that is my favorite. This disc has every song i've ever wanted to hear from Chaka there is not ONE song that i dont absolutely love! And thats rare. But every song is a soon to be classic. I would recommend this disc to anyone and everyone. If you never heard of Chaka's music beofre, buy this disc.. and i'll promise you, you'll never forget!! Chaka Khan is back, and with a vengeance.
The new album is fun, funky and with great tunes, both old and new.
Granted, I've been a fan some 24+ years, but she still manages to amaze and enthrall.
"Funk This" is one of the must-have albums for all Chaka fans, but also for anyone who loves music with heart&soul.
Let's keep her in the charts for a while, and hope there will be a fantastic follow-up soon...

What can I say that hasn't already been said about Chaka,she is one of the greatest R&B, Soul,Jazz,Funk vocalist of all time still,Chaka can do no wrong vocally,a legend. And her autobiograpghy "Through the Fire" is a good read on the life of this icon of vocal soul and power. I would encourage anyone who loves this lady to pick this CD up.If you don't know her all I can ask is "What Planet do you live on"?Free Music Review: OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!!

If you don't already own this one, you MUST purchase it! This is the hottest Chaka production to come out in a few years. She is singing her face off! The new material is terrific and the covers are just as wonderful. Sung by anyone else these songs would be lackluster and mediocre at best, but in Chaka's extremely capable hands (or should I say, "vocal chords") each song takes on a life all its own.Free Music Review: DON'T JUST FUNK THIS--BUY THIS!!!

i was originally going to write: "this disc is worth it if only for the song 'disrepectul'..." but the more i listen to it (which has been A LOT), the more that title could be replaced w/ ANY song on this disc....this has got to be the most satifying solo ablbum she has put out (and that's even more than her first one or "in my house")...
