Free Music Review: The HOLY GRAIL of reggae music

I've been collecting roots reggae for several years and was surprised that I hadn't heard many of the tracks on the disc. Based on the quality of the Blood and Fire releases, I purchased the disc with out reading any reviews. My friend and I sat down to give it a listen and were mesmerized. All tracks are tight and the quality is superb. It has a great roots feel with simple yet heavy grooves that will make those who don't realize they like reggae ask for a copy. The dubs are nice and the vocal echoes are not out-of-control, like on some dub shots. Every track is hot and most like "Fly Away" but I'm partial to "Trial Days". The opening lines "Here I am standing, I never trouble wicked man..." invokes the vision of a humble Rasta on the street in Jamaica being harassed by police.After listening to the disc my friend and I checked the reviews. We were not surprised to see this album is highly touted and had to come with a strong review title. To sum it up, get this CD before it is out-of-print and is no longer available.
